Dieser Gegendruck ist steuerbar, was man mittels eines mehr oder weniger tief in den Kanal eintauchenden Gegendruckkörpers erzielt. In besonders vorteilhafter Ausbildung besteht dieser Gegendruckkörper aus einer schwenkbaren Klappe, die mit einem Schwenkantrieb verbunden ist, welcher entsprechend dem erforderlichen Gegendruck gesteuert werden kann.
