Ziel der ErfindungObject of the invention
The aim of the invention is to find a process for the preparation of dithiooxalic acid (1-methyl-2-alkylidene-hydrazide) amides in good yields from industrially readily available starting materials.
Darlegung des Wesens der ErfindungExplanation of the essence of the invention
The object is achieved in that dithiooxalic acid (i-methylhydrazide) amide of the general formula I with carbonyl compounds of the general formula II in which R 1 is hydrogen and R 2 is mono- or polysubstituted in various positions by alkyl, alkoxy, Nitro, hydroxy or halogen atoms substituted aryl groups or R 1 is a lower alkyl group and R 2 is a branched alkyl group or R 1 and R 2 aralkyl groups, at elevated temperature to the title compounds of the general formula IM, in which R 1 and R 2 have the above meaning own, be implemented. Particularly suitable solvents are C 1 -C 5 -alkoxy and higher ethers, such as monoglyme or diglyme. The reaction mixtures are heated for 1-6 hours to temperatures of 50 ° to the boiling point of the solvent used. The addition of catalytic amounts of an alkyl halide or acids such as sulfuric acid or p-toluenesulfonic acid significantly reduce reaction times.
Ethanol gereinigt. The title compounds are obtained as yellow, crystalline compounds in yields of 70-90% and are usually purified by recrystallization from methanol or ethanol.
The invention is further illustrated by the general example given below and the data of the table, without being limited thereto.
Ethanol gereinigt.0.01 mol of the dithiooxalic acid (1-methylhydrazide) amide are refluxed with 0.01 mol of carbonyl compound in methanol with or without the addition of catalytic amounts of methyl iodide, benzyl chloride, sulfuric acid or p-toluenesulfonic acid for several hours. The yellow-colored crude products are then purified by recrystallization from methanol or ethanol.
