Abstract
The invention relates to a collector for the flotative extraction of tungsten minerals from complex, tungsten-containing ores, in particular poor, difficult to treat, tungsten-containing ores with a variety of accompanying minerals. The invention aims to make the joint flotation of scheelite and wolframite possible and economical. This object is achieved in that the mineral suspension is a collector reagent characterized by a proportion of C17: 1 fatty acids of 25-40%, a proportion of C17 fatty acids of 30-50% in total and a proportion of unsaturated fatty acids of a total of 40-70%. 75% at a chain length of the fatty acid spectrum of 12-18 carbons. Its use is possible for the separate or combined flotative enrichment of tungsten ethers (scheelite and wolframite) under the usual flotation conditions for the recovery of these minerals in alkaline crops. The collector according to the invention can be prepared by known methods from microbial biomass obtained as a waste product in the cultivation of microorganisms on petroleum hydrocarbons.
