Stávající přípravky s obsahem dezinfekčních látek (složek) s obsahem jódu či jeho sloučenin, určené k dezinfekci a ošetření poranění pokožky, jsou ve své podstatě roztoky v těkavém rozpouštědle, většinou s obsahem alkoholu, což při aplikaci vede k rychlému odpaření rozpouštědla a následnému vysušení dezinfekční látky a tím snížení další účinnosti.Existing preparations containing disinfectants (components) containing iodine or its compounds, intended for disinfection and treatment of skin injuries, are essentially solutions in a volatile solvent, mostly containing alcohol, resulting in rapid evaporation of the solvent and subsequent drying of the disinfectant substances, thereby reducing further efficacy.

Podstatným zlepšením popsaného stavuje úprava lihových, vodo-lihových a dalších roztoků jódu a/nebo jeho sloučenin přídavkem vhodných látek, které jsou schopny po nanesení roztoku zpomalit odpařování rozpouštědla a vysoušení dezinfekční látky. Jako vhodné látky se ukázaly koloidní látky či látky schopné polymerace. Vznikající film takto polymerujících látek po aplikaci na určené místo pokožky následně zpomaluje odpařování a prodlužuje se tak doba výskytu dezinfekční látky v roztoku a tím dochází k prodloužení jejího plnohodnotného účinku.A substantial improvement of the described process is the treatment of alcohol, water and other solutions of iodine and / or its compounds by the addition of suitable substances which, after application of the solution, are capable of retarding solvent evaporation and drying of the disinfectant.
