Abstract

Η εφεύρεση αφορά σε έναν νέο απομονωμένο μικροοργανισμό που χαρακτηρίζεται από το ότι είναι ικανός: i) να μετατρέπει άζωτο Kjeldal, αμμωνιακό άζωτο και/ή οξείδια αζώτου σε αέριο άζωτο, και ii) να μετατρέπει ανθρακούχο ύλη σε διοξείδιο του άνθρακα· όπου και οι δύο μετατροπές λαμβάνουν χώρα σε αερόβιες συνθήκες. Η εφεύρεση επίσης αφορά σε μια μέθοδο επεξεργασίας υδατικών αποβλήτων χρησιμοποιώντας τον αναφερόμενο μικροοργανισμό.
