Abstract
Mejoras en máquinas para la cosecha de la cana de azúcar consistentes en la combinación de partes de estas máquinas con construcciones nuevas y la cual se aplica en un equipo autopropulsado que recolecta los tallos de cana cortándolos a ras, los trozos es pequenos pedazos, eliminando las materias extranas que van unidas, entregándolos posteriormente a un medio de transporte. La recolección se produce con ayuda de una cámara que tiene los órganos de levante y corte inferior de los tallos y tambores para la alimentación los cuales entregan la masa vegetal cosechada al aparato trazador para cortarla en pedazos adecuados. El aparato trozador se diferencia de los conocidos en que los tambores poseen distintos diámetros, así como que las cuchillas de corte están dispuestas en forma excéntrica, lo que garantiza una menor holgura en un mayor ángulo de rotación. La limpieza tiene lugar primero con un aparato para cortar los cogollos antes de recoger los tallos y después al ser lanzada la masa vegetal desde el transportador hacia la batería de tambores horizontales que dispersan esta masa separando las materias extranas con ayuda de la fuerza de presión dinámica de un flujo de aire que se aplica en sección casi horizontal. Otra limpieza se produce al caer la masa desde el transportador de descarga al medio de transporte aplicando nuevamente sobre ella un flujo de aire en succión casi horizontal.
