Abstract
El cromo es removido del mineral lateritico de níquel dimensionando las partículas del mineral según resultan de la misma para proveer una fracción de finos en la cual sustancialmente todo el cromo esta en forma de ácido soluble y entonces lixiviando dicho cromo soluble de dicha fracción de finos junto con níquel y otros valores de metal asociado por lixiviación a alta presión a una temperatura llevada en una solución acuosa de ácido sulfúrico de tal forma que se produce restos de mineral de hierro muy bajo en cromo adecuado para recobrar hierro del mismo.
