Abstract
Biomateriales de implantes óseos constituidos por una fase inorgánica formada por sales de calcio, principalmente por fosfatos, hidroxi-y carbonato-apatitas y una orgánica compuesta de polímeros derivados del acetato de vinilo y el ácido crotónico. Estos biomateriales que pueden ser densos o porosos presentan diferentes velocidades de reabsorción cuando se utilizan como implantes en el tejido vivo en dependencia de la naturaleza y proporción de las fases constituyentes y funcionan también como soportes para la fabricación de sistemas de liberación controlada de fármacos.
