Abstract

Each partial conductor bundle (8) of the pair inserted into a groove (6) in the rotor or stator (7) consists of six Cu bars (9) individually insulated with mica-plastic film (10) relatively rich in binding material, and is enveloped in more weakly bonded mica-glass fibre (11). A sleeve (12) enclosing both bundles (8) is of cut and folded elastic fibre/synthetic resin laminate which is softened by heating. The resin is melted allowing the fibre to expand.
