Abstract
The solution concerns a method of production of compounds of general formula III, where R<1> is hydrogen and R<3> is hydrogen or methyl, or R<1> is methyl and R<3> is hydrogen and their pharmaceutically applicable salts. It is characteristic by the fact that from the compound of general formula II or its salt the β -D-xylosyl residuum is split out by heating in presence of mineral acid. The xylosyl residuum and the resulting product are eventually transformed to salt. The compounds produced in this way are used mainly as source substances for production of water-soluble antibiotics, while they show antifungal efficiency as well.<IMAGE>
