Abstract

Un dispositivo portatil para aplicar senales electricas terapeuticas y/o campos electromagneticos a la rodilla de un paciente para el tratamiento de osteoartritis y otras enfermedades, defectos y lesiones. El dispositivo puede operar en varios modos para suministrar senales a la rodilla del paciente de manera de provocar que se genere un campo electrico y/o electromagnetico que regule en forma ascendente selectivamente la expresion de genes de Aggrecan y Colageno de Tipo II mientras simultaneamente regula en forma descendente selectivamente la expresion de gen de metaloproteasas.
