Abstract
Un método de perforación de un pozo de petróleo o de gas que consiste en el uso de un fluido de perforación a base de agua que contiene un ácido poliacrílico reticulada de peso molecular alto como agente viscosante. El fluido de perforación puede contener además un lubricante, agente de carga y/o un agente humectante, así como arcilla laponita. El fluido de perforación de base acuosa presenta un coeficiente de fricción que esta sustancialmente cerca del coeficiente de fricción de los lodos de perforación a base de aceite. El fluido de perforación exhibe estabilidad a temperaturas muy por encima de 150 °C.
