Abstract
La invención se relaciona con un método de asistencia (200) para planeación de un tratamiento con terapia fotodinámica para un paciente, durante el cual una sustancia fotosensible predeterminada se debe administrar al paciente y luego se somete a iluminación a una longitud de onda predeterminada a través de un número de fibras ópticas adaptado para ser introducido sobre una longitud de inserción en el área de tratamiento de acuerdo con una posición relacionada con una cuadrícula de braquiterapia. El método realiza una medición (230) del volumen del área de tratamiento mediante la reconstrucción del volumen a partir del procesamiento digital de los contornos introducidos directamente en una serie de imágenes digitales del área se trata, luego una determinación (250) hecha al calcular el número de fibras ópticas utilizadas, su posición con relación a la cuadrícula de braquiterapia y su longitud de inserción que optimiza la correspondencia de un volumen de acción teórico total calculado con el volumen medido del área de tratamiento, el volumen de acción teórico total que se calcula con base en la posición de cada fibra, y un volumen de acción teórico elemental de una fibra que corresponde al volumen de un cilindro con radio de acción predeterminado R, y altura que corresponde a la longitud de inserción de a fibra.La invención también se relaciona con un método de modelado 100) del radio de acción de una fibra óptica que utiliza la correlación de volúmenes medidos de áreas necróticas actuales desde una pluralidad de ensayos clínicos en pacientes con diferentes volúmenes teóricos calculados a partir de los mismos conjuntos de parámetros utilizados en ensayos clínicos y el volumen de acción teórico elemental de una fibra.
