Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método y a un dispositivo para fumigar, en donde una mezcla de gas, compuesta de un agente fumigante y un líquido criogénico se evapora, conduciéndose la mezcla, que se encuentra bajo presión en un tanque de almacenamiento, a través de una válvula reductora de presión, de manera que la mezcla se evapora completamente y el vapor se alimenta para fumigar un producto. De acuerdo con un primer aspecto de la presente invención, la mezcla se controla con respecto a su temperatura en el tanque de almacenamiento, de manera que forme un fluido supercrítico. De este modo se evita una destilación del agente fumigante. De acuerdo con un segundo aspecto de la presente invención, la mezcla evaporada se pulveriza agregándole aire comprimido, y la relación entre la mezcla y el aire comprimido se ajusta mediante obturadores intercambiables y/o válvulas reductoras de presión regulables. De ese modo puede variarse libremente la relación entre la mezcla y el aire comprimido.
