Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método de preparación para alcohol haciendo reaccionar ácido carboxílico, alcohol, e hidrógeno empleando catalizadores de hidrogenación. Más específicamente, la invención se refiere a un método para preparar alcohol realizando esterificación e hidrocraqueo en un proceso de un solo paso, empleando catalizadores de hidrogenación, en lugar de un proceso de dos pasos. De acuerdo con la invención, se prepara alcohol a partir de ácido carboxílico mediante la esterificación e hidrogenación en un proceso de un solo paso empleando catalizadores de hidrogenación. Por consiguiente, pueden reducirse los costos de producción y los costos de tratamiento de los subproductos, en comparación con un proceso de dos pasos. Además, la invención es efectiva y económica puesto que puede producir alcohol con un rendimiento relativamente alto mediante un proceso sencillo. Más aún, la invención permite un rendimiento elevado con una presión relativamente más baja, cuando se compara con la producción de alcohol a partir de ácido carboxílico mediante hidrogenación sin esterificación, y resuelve los problemas de lixiviación por los catalizadores.
