Abstract
Se describe un evaporador de múltiples efectos (10) , que tiene un extremo corriente arriba y uno corriente abajo, adaptado para destilación de agua. Comprende una pluralidad de efectos (20a hasta 20d) conectados en una forma en serie y arreglados en grupos. Cada grupo tiene una entrada de suministro de agua paralela común adaptado para suministrar con agua de suministro a todos los efectos en el grupo. El evaporador además incluye una línea de agua de suministro principal (11) en comunicación fluida con el grupo más corriente arriba. Un arreglo de calentadores (24) está dispuesto a lo largo de la línea, adaptados para calentar el agua de suministro antes de que entre en los efectos del último grupo. Cada efecto comprende medios para reconducir el segundo vapor de salida dentro de unos de los calentadores para calentar el agua de suministro. Cada grupo comprende una bomba (21) adaptada para extraer el concentrado (23) de los efectos del grupo y bombearlo dentro del suministro de agua paralelo común de un grupo corriente abajo adyacente.
