Abstract

Hemos descubierto micropartículas poliméricas nuevas en las cuales la conformación de la micropartícula es constreñida por entrecruzadores hidrolíticamente lábiles del éter de sililo o del éster de sililo. Las propiedades de la micropartícula, tales como distribución de tamaños de partículas y densidad, de la micropartícula constreñida, son diseñadas para permitir la propagación eficaz a través de la estructura de poros de la roca de la matriz del reservorio del hidrocarburo, tal como piedra arenisca. Por el calentamiento a la temperatura del reservorio y/o en un pH predeterminado, los entrecruzamientos internos reversibles (lábil) comienzan a romperse permitiendo que la partícula se expanda absorbiendo el fluido de inyección (normalmente agua).La capacidad de la partícula de expandirse desde sus tamaños originales (en el punto de inyección) depende solamente de la presencia de condiciones que induzcan la ruptura del entrecruzante del éter de siliIo o del éster del sililo y de otros distintos entrecruzantes lábiles presentes en las micropartículas. Las partículas de este invención se pueden propagar a través de la estructura porosa del reservorio sin usar un fluido designado o fluido con salinidad más alta que el fluido del reservorio.La partícula expandida es técnicamente manipulada para tener características físicas y distribución de tamaños de partículas, por ejemplo, reología de la partícula, lo cual permite impedir el flujo de fluido inyectado en la estructura de poros. Al hacer eso es capaz de desviar el fluido hacia zonas menos barridas a fondo del reservorio.La reología y los tamaños de partícula expandidos de la partícula pueden ser diseñados para ajustarse al reservorio objetivo, por ejemplo mediante la selección adecuada de los monómeros de la cadena principal o la relación del comonómero del polímero, o el nivel de entrecruzamiento reversible (lábil) e irreversible introducido durante la fabricación.En una realización, esta invención es una composición que comprende micropartículas poliméricas expandibles altamente entrecruzadas que tienen tamaños de diámetros de partícula promedio de volumen no expandido de desde alrededor de 0.05 a alrededor de 5000 micras y un contenido de agente entrecruzante desde 0 a alrededor de 300 PPM del agente de entrecruzamiento no-lábil y desde alrededor de 100 a alrededor de 200.000 PPM de agente entrecruzante lábil, ...
