Abstract
Un implante incluye un procesador, un sistema de circuitos de comunicación por RF, un sistema de circuitos de comunicación óptica, una fuente de energía y una memoria, todos sellados herméticamente dentro de un alojamiento con una ventana transparente. Las lecturas del sensor se transmiten por RF con el uso del sistema de circuitos de comunicación por RF hacia un lector remoto después de recibir las señales de interrogación del lector. Durante la calibración del sensor, se calculan los coeficientes correctivos mediante la comparación de las lecturas reales de la presión del sensor con lecturas de presión conocidas. Los coeficientes correctivos se transmiten a la memoria del sistema de circuitos de control con el uso de comunicación óptica, en donde la luz modulada se transmite a través de la ventana transparente del alojamiento al fotodetector.
