Abstract

Un método para separar arsénico de una solución que contiene arsénico, donde el método comprende los pasos de: poner en contacto una solución que contiene arsénico con una primera porción de un agente fijador en condiciones en las que por lo menos una porción del arsénico es fijada por el agente fijador para obtener una solución parcialmente empobrecida y un agente fijador enriquecido en arsénico, donde el agente fijador comprende un compuesto que contiene tierras raras;separar el agente fijador enriquecido en arsénico de la solución parcialmente empobrecida; y,poner en contacto la solución parcialmente empobrecida con una segunda porción de agente fijador en condiciones en las que por lo menos una porción del arsénico es fijada por el agente fijador para obtener una solución empobrecida en arsénico.2.- El método de la reivindicación 1, en el que la solución empobrecida en arsénico comprende un metal recuperable del Grupo lA, Grupo IIA, Grupo VIII y los metales de transición.3.- El método de la reivindicación 2, que además comprende el paso de combinar la solución empobrecida en arsénico con una corriente de proceso en un proceso de refinación de metales para separar el metal recuperable.4.- El método de la reivindicación 2, que además comprende precipitar el metal recuperable de la solución empobrecida en arsénico.5.- El método de la reivindicación 2, que además comprende electrolizar la solución empobrecida en arsénico para separar el metal recuperable.6.- El método de la reivindicación 1, en el que del paso de poner en contacto la solución parcialmente empobrecida con la segunda porción del agente fijador se obtiene un agente fijador parcialmente saturado, donde el método además comprende el paso de:separar el agente fijador parcialmente saturado de la solución empobrecida en arsénico.
