Abstract

Una composición adecuada para formar formulaciones de látex o recubrimientos de emulsión que comprenden una dispersión acuosa que comprende una mezcla de :(a) un ácido carboxílico o éster de ácido carboxílico no saturado etilénicamente que tiene una fórmula seleccionada a partir del grupo que consiste de:<EMI FILE="00095419_1" ID="1" IMF=JPEG ><EMI FILE="00095419_2" ID="2" IMF=JPEG >Y mezclas de los mismos(b) por lo menos un monómero copolimerizable seleccionado a partir del grupo que consiste de vinilacetato, vinilcloruro, viniléster de ácidocarboxílico ramificado terciario saturado, acrilonitrilo, acrilamida, 2-etilhexilacrilato, 2-etilhexilmetacrilato, 2-hidroxietilacrilato, 2-hidroxietilmetacrilato, glicidilacrilato, glicidilmetacrilato, ácido acrílico, butilacrilato, butilmetacrilato, metilmetacrilato, metilacrilato, para acetoxiestireno, y estireno; y(c) Uno o más gentes activos de superficie no iónicos, aniónicos, catiónico amfotérico;en donde(i) R9 es o hidrógeno o metilo; y(ij) a, aAND#39, b, bAND#39, y c, son enteros, en donde a y aAND#39 tienen un valor que va entre 2 a 4, b y bAND#39 tiene un valor que va de 0 a 2 con la condición de que la suma de b y bAND#39 es 0 a 2, y c tiene un valor de 5 a 2; yel porcentaje en peso total de (a) y (b) en dicha dispersión acuosa es de por lo menos entre 5 y no más de 60% en peso, con base en el peso total de la composición, en donde (a) y (b) están presentes en una proporción de peso que varía entre 1:2 a 1:99.
