Abstract

Un método para preparar una placa de acero con una microestructura compuesta predominantemente por capas de martensita templada de grano fino, bainita inferior templada de grano fino, bainita granular fina templada (FGB), o por una mezcla de estás, en donde dicho método comprende los pasos de:(a) calentamiento de una pieza de acero a una temperatura de recalentamiento suficientemente alta como para: (i) homogenizar substancialmente dicha pieza de acero, (ii) disolver substancialmente todos los carburos y carbonitruros de niobio y vanadio presentes en dicha pieza de acero, y (iii) establecer granos finos iniciales de austenita en dicha pieza de acero;(b) reducción de dicha pieza de acero a fin de formar una placa de acero en uno o más pasos de laminación en caliente en un primer rango de temperaturas dentro del cual la austenita se recristaliza;(c) reducción adicional de dicha placa de acero en uno o más pasos de laminación en caliente en un segundo rango de temperaturas ubicadas por debajo de la temperatura y por encima de la temperatura por debajo de la cual la austenita no se recristaliza (temperatura Tnr) y por encima de la temperatura a la cual la austenita comienza a transformarse en ferrita durante el enfriamiento (temperatura de transformación Ar3); ...<EMI FILE="99079003_1" ID="1" IMF=JPEG >
