Abstract

Una estructura absorbente para ser usada en un artículo talcomo un pañal, una guarda de incontinencia, una toalla sanitaria o similar en donde la estructura absorbente comprende dos tipos de material diferente (16, 17 18) que están en contacto directo o indirecto uno con el otro tal que el líquido puede ser transferido entre los tipos de material, caracterizado en que el primer tipo de material (17) está constituido por un material que succiona cuando absorbe fluido del cuerpo y el segundo tipo de material (16, 18) está constituido por un material que se colapsa cuando absorbe fluidos del cuerpo, en donde el incremento de volumen en el primer tipo de material (17) es esencialmente igual a la reducción de volumen en el segundo tipo de material (16, 18) cuando la estructura absorbente está saturada con líquido, mientras que la estructura absorbente tiene sustancialmente el mismo volumen tanto en un estado húmedo como en un estado seco.
