Un transductor piezoeléctrico digital, compuesto por: un elemento piezoeléctrico; una multiplicidad de secciones conductivas aisladas eléctricamente, fijadas a un lado de dicho elemento piezoeléctico; y una placa conductiva común fijada al otro lado de dicho piezoeléctrico. 1Un método para manejar un transductor piezoeléctrico con señales digitales, comprende los pasos de: acoplar una multiplicidad de medios conductivos a un lado de un elemento piezoeléctrico; acoplar una placa conductiva común al otro lado de dicho elemento piezoeléctrico; generar una serie de señales de excitación digitales en paralelo; aplicar dicha serie de señales de excitación en paralelo a la mencionada multiplicidad de medios conductivos.c
