Abstract
La presente invención proporciona composiciones, sistemas y métodos para conferir resistencia a fitopatógenos que expresan proteasas específicas de patógenos. Las composiciones de la invención pueden incluir una molécula de ácido nucleico recombinante que comprende un promotor unido operativamente a una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica al menos una proteína sustrato de una proteasa específica de fitopatógeno expresada por una especie de fitopatógeno de Phakopsora o Heterodera. Adicionalmente, la al menos una proteína sustrato tiene un sitio de escisión heterólogo específico de Phakopsora o específico de Heterodera, en donde la escisión del sitio de escisión confiere una resistencia mejorada a las especies de fitopatógenos de Phakopsora o Heterodera.
