Abstract
La presente invención describe una planta de cannabis modificada que presenta una resistencia mejorada al mildiú polvoriento (MP). La planta de cannabis modificada antes mencionada comprende una modificación genómica direccionada que confiere una expresión reducida de al menos un alelo MLO de cannabis (CsMLO) en comparación con una planta de cannabis que carece de dicha modificación genómica direccionada. La presente invención describe además métodos para la producción de la planta de cannabis modificada usando la modificación genómica.
