a invenção diz respeito a um método para aumentar a frequência de recombinação meiótica em plantas, por meio da inibição da proteína recq4 ou top3a, em particular, por mutagênese ou extinção do gene recq4 ou top3a que codifica a referida proteína. a invenção pode ser utilizada, em particular, no campo do melhoramento de plantas e de mapeamento genético.
