Abstract

本发明提供了一种含稀土,硅,钙,锰,碳,硫等元素的新型变质剂,它由稀土硅铁,硅钙合金,锰铁和铸造焦机械混合组成,它能有效地提高形核率,改善石墨形态,消除碳化物,是生产薄壁铸件的良好变质剂。

Description

本发明涉及一种用于铸铁变质处理的添加剂,特别适用于薄壁铸件的变质处理。
现有的铸铁变质剂,虽可用作一般铸铁件的变质处理,但对薄壁铸件,特别是球铁小件很难消除共晶碳化物,以致达不到组织和性能要求。
为解决这一问题,美国专利4226063提出了一种新的铸铁变质剂,使用这种变质剂能生产表面不形成碳化物的薄壁铸件,但这种变质剂加入量多,而且对于比重小的焦炭粒有漂浮至铁水表面而造成偏析和孕育不均的危险,故只适用于灰铁处理,另外这种变质剂要求含S量范围太窄,从而限制了焦炭的选择。
本发明旨在利用价廉易得的材料配制成更有效更经济的变质剂,它不仅能满足普通灰铁而且能满足球铁的变质处理。
发明的配方是这样的,30~60%Si
0~12%RE
3~6%Mn
3~6%Ca
0~20%C
0~0.36%S
余为Fe
这种变质剂能有效地提高形核率,改善石墨形态,消除碳化物,价格低,是生产薄壁铸件的良好变质剂。
实施例:以13~73%硅铁,0~50%稀土硅铁,4~10%锰铁,10~20%硅钙合金,0~25%铸造焦,破碎成0.1~1.0毫米颗粒均匀混合后,以加入量为0.1~0.2%,采用瞬时孕育方法对铁水进行变质处理,所得铸件完全能满足其组织和性能方面的要求。

Claims (3)

1、一种由硅,稀土,钙,锰,碳,硫所组成的变质剂其特征在于其成份含量(重量百分比)为:
30~60%硅
0~12%稀土
3~6%钙
3~6%锰
0~20%碳
0~0.36%硫
余为铁
2、根据权利要求1,其特征在于将所含物质破碎成1毫米以下颗粒并均匀混合。
3、根据权利要求1,其特征在于采用瞬时孕育方法进行变质处理。
