Abstract

Description
本发明涉及多层片材及多层管材,主要涉及作为食物和药品包装材料的聚合物多层片材或多层管材。
塑料层压材料和纸塑层压材料用于包装用品或容器已为公众所了解。例如:美国专利说明书2,956,723叙述了一种可制造容器的片材,这种材料是一种层压膜,其中至少有一层由聚乙烯这样的单向分子取向的线性结晶聚烯烃制成,且至少还有一层包括低密度聚乙烯。
类似地,美国专利说明书3,927,245叙述了一种涂在有纤维板芯层的纸板坯料上的树脂,纸板料的两个表面都覆以规定厚度和密度的乙烯类聚合物涂料,再在坯料制成的纸板箱外部的乙烯类聚合物涂料上使用第三种乙烯类聚合物涂料,如聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。
美国专利说明书4,183,435叙述了一种多层复合材料,适合用于微波炉中的容器。这种材料包括泡沫芯层(一种高密度聚合物材料)和芯层两侧的表面层,相对较薄的表面层是聚酯材料,如聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。中间层的作用在于使材料结构完整。
拟将上述已知材料使用于制造液体的包装容器,这种材料的无孔性是其关键特性,这种容器还可适于在微波炉中加热食品。
但是,最终使用食物和药品包装用品要求一种成本合适的、热稳定的化学惰性层,它应具有:(1)抗冲击强度高,(2)抗热变形好和硬度高,(3)气体和蒸气阻隔性能好,(4)透明度高,以使保持包装用品完整的同时,可直观检查内装食品或药品,到现在为止,食物和药品包装材料还缺乏最佳包装和使用所要求的透明度。
现在已经发现一种多层复合片材或管材,因为相当透明,而特别适用于作为食物或药品的包装材料。
如前所述,本发明提供了一种可制造食物和药品包装用品的多层复合片材或管材,包括:
(1)无规共聚物芯层;
(2)至少有一层由选自下列聚合物的材料构成的第二层,(a)乙烯-醋酸乙烯共聚物,(b)丙烯酸改性聚烯烃,(c)顺丁烯二酸酯聚烯烃,(d)皂化聚烯烃,(e)双嵌段苯乙烯橡胶和(f)丙烯酸共聚物;和
(3)任何一种适用的阻隔性聚合物;和
(4)至少一层热塑性工程塑料。
本发明进一步用附图说明,其中:

图1是本发明多层片材的放大断面视图。这种材料可以厚达0.635厘米,最好是在0.0254厘米左右。这种材料包括透明度很高的无规共聚物的中间层10,最好是无规聚丙烯共聚物。无规共聚物10提供了成本合适的、透明的、热稳定的、化学惰性层。层10可占多层片材总厚度的10%(重量)到90%(重量)。至少有一层由选自下列聚合物的材料构成的层12与层10相邻,(a)乙烯-醋酸乙烯共聚物,(b)丙烯酸改性聚烯烃,(c)顺丁烯二酸酯聚烯烃,(d)皂化聚烯烃,(e)双嵌段苯乙烯橡胶,和(f)丙烯酸共聚物。层12是平滑透明聚合物层,它起粘结层的作用,它本身与共聚物有良好的粘合性,层12可占多层片材总厚度的5%(重量)到15%(重量)。如果需要,可加一层能够防止气体或蒸汽渗透的阻隔性聚合物层14,层14与层12相邻。例如,阻隔性聚合物层14可以是聚偏二氯乙烯、乙烯-乙烯醇共聚物或聚丙烯腈共聚物,层14可占多层片材总厚度的0%(重量)到5%(重量)。外层16是一种热塑性工程塑料,它总是与层12相邻;层16可使层压结构具有热成型熔体强度,冲击强度,高抗热变形性和硬度,最好的热塑性工程塑料是聚碳酸酯和聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。层16可占多层片材总厚度的5%(重量)到85%(重量)。

C=高透明度无规共聚物芯层
D=阻隔性聚合物,如聚偏二氯乙烯,乙烯-乙烯醇共聚物或聚丙烯腈共聚物。

4,A/B/C/B/D/B/A

多层复合材料可由多层共挤出或多层热合制成片材或管材。
图2所示为上述4号组合的管材结构。图2中的数字符号与图1的意义相同。
无规共聚物提供透明性被认为是本申请独特之处。容器透明度高可在保持包装用品完整的同时,使内装物能被直观检查。抗热变形性高,能使内装物进行消毒,而阻隔性则可防止内装物损坏或受污染。
使用其他特殊聚合物材料取决于这种材料的用途。另外,除挤出和热合外,还可以使用其他技术制成制造包装用品的片材或管材。
Claims (8)
1、可制成食物和药品包装用品的多层片材或管材,其中包括:
(1)无规共聚物芯层;
(2)至少有一层由选自下列聚合物材料组成的第二层(a)乙烯-醋酸乙烯共聚物,(b)丙烯酸改性聚烯烃,(c)顺丁烯二酸酯聚烯烃,(d)皂化聚烯烃,(e)双嵌段苯乙烯橡胶和(f)丙烯酸共聚物;
(3)任何一种适用的阻隔性聚合物;和
(4)至少一层热塑性工程塑料。
2、根据权利要求1所述片材或管材,其中的无规共聚物芯层是聚丙烯共聚物。
3、根据权利要求1及2所述片材或管材,其中的第二层是顺丁烯二酸酯聚丙烯聚乙烯混合物。
4、根据权利要求1及2所述片材或管材,其中的第二层是聚丙烯和乙烯-醋酸乙烯共聚物的混合物。
5、根据以前任一项权利要求中所述片材或管材,其中的任何阻隔性聚合物是聚偏二氯乙烯或乙烯-乙烯醇共聚物。
6、根据以前任一项权利要求中所述片材或管材,其中的热塑性工程塑料是聚碳酸酯或聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。
7、根据以前任一项权利要求中所述片材或管材,其中所述材料由所述多层共挤出制成。
8、根据权利要求1至6所述片材或管材,其中所述材料由所述多层热合制成。
