Abstract

本发明提供了一个双轴向取向的多层合成树脂罐体和大量生产的方法,在这里尽管是多层合成树脂罐体的结构,而罐体又由切割一个经拉伸吹塑底型坯而得到的瓶状中间体制造的,但切下的树脂可重新作为树脂材料而应用;并且切割的开口边缘能进行封接,每层端面不外露,层间剥落不会发生;罐体经济耐久,气障性能和隔热性能优越。

Description

本发明涉及的是多层合成树脂罐体,作为整体,它由一底部喷注塑制的多层型坯经双轴取向而成,罐体的壁至少由三层构成,开口部分的外缘能与金属盖一起封接;本发明还涉及大量生产的方法。
由合成树脂如聚对苯二甲酸乙脂、聚氯乙烯制成的容器可作为各种容器使用。特别是用拉伸吹塑聚对苯二甲酸乙脂制成的容器,由于可以双轴向取向,刚度好而且具有良好的气障性能。因此,这类容器广泛应用于盛装果汁,酒、米酒、啤酒等容器,此外也用于盛装碳酸饮料。
然而在容器受到拉伸吹塑时,在完成塑制的同时,固定了挤压或喷注塑制型坯的出口部分,也就是,通常称为颈部或嘴部的这部分,这种被固定的部分不能经拉伸变簿。因此,保留下来挤压或注塑法制成的型坯的出口部分,并且无法取向,这一部分的强度差,壁厚大,且比较硬。基于此,即使与金属盖可以咬合,但当向外伸出的开口部分,其周缘与金属盖一起进行封接时,开口部分的周缘由于封接时的弯曲应力而产生裂口,使开口部分不能封接严密。
基于上述情况,U.S.Patent    No    4,496,064发展了一种开口边缘经过双轴向取向的容器,它是用型坯经拉伸吹塑制成一个具有容器形状的中间体,并且能在中间体开口边缘上施行封接。
在这种容器中,上端向外伸出的瓶状中间体是由拉伸吹塑法制成的,其底型坯用热塑性树脂注塑制成;中间体在伸出部分切断,以使在至少经过双轴向取向的伸出部分的低边上形成开口边缘。经过双轴向取向的罐体和罐底组成的容器的密封是可以作到的,它用开口边缘与金属盖封接实现。
作为先有技术的上述容器,由于容器完全由一种树脂组成,所以从中间体切下的上述伸出部分可重新作为树脂材料,即使仅用拉伸吹塑法制成的罐体和底就组成一个容器,切下的部分也将毫不产生材料损失。然而,为了进一步提高气障性能和隔热性能,另一些不同性质的材料,如具备上述性能的树脂和玻璃纤维,作为中间层加入制做容器的树脂中,于是产生了至少有三层的容器。为了制造这种容器,从底部模塑的底型坯自然也形成三层,中间体的伸出部分也由三层组成,结果产生了一种缺点,即,与单层的情形不同,切下的伸出部分不能重新作为树脂材料,因此形成了材料的浪费。
所以,与单层情况相比,三层容器需提供较高的封接费用,甚至,即使三层容器在气障性能和隔热性能方面比单层优越,它也很难成为可广泛使用的容器。
当切下三层伸出部分时,每层切割表面都暴露出来了,在形成开口缘时,由于切割部分受到外力作用,层间剥落产生了。这种层间剥落减小了开口边缘与金属盖外缘间的紧固力,并且,当罐内盛装含有能产生内部压力的物品时,例如碳酸饮料,由于上述压力使接缝受损,其结果是造成CO2气体和液体逐渐外漏。即使不漏,也会造成它们从开口边缘端面逐渐在层间渗透,引起罐体剥落,结果大大地降低了容器的使用性能,并且同样也严重地影响了容器的外观。使容器无法使用。
如前所述,为了得到一种多层结构的罐状容器,且使其开口部分能够封接严密,只有一种办法,即,用一多层型坯的开口部分作为容器的开口部分,开口边缘不须再加工和塑制,在开口边缘处型坯中间层的端面能经受弯曲压力。某些制造者发展了能用上述方法进行封接的容器,但这些容器没有一个是适于商业需要的。
因此,本发明的目的是提供一种双轴向取向的多层合成树脂罐体和大量生产罐体的方法。其中,罐体由切割瓶形中间体制成,而中间体则是用拉伸吹塑法从底部成型的坯制成的,尽管这样制成的合成树脂罐体是多层结构的,但切掉的部分仍然能够作为树脂使用,并且当切割且形成用于封接的开口边缘时,每层端面不外露,层间剥落很难发生;罐体很经济,耐久、气障性和隔热性良好。
鉴于上述情况,本发明人进一步研究了多层结构的树脂罐体和大量生产的方法,并且由此发现,在上述由底型坯塑制的中间体中,前面提到的伸出部分是单层树脂,并且中间体的低于伸出部分的部分至少是由三层构成;而且按前面所述的方法,在伸出部分切割中间体,就可以解决上面所述的问题。
在这种多层结构的树脂罐体中,罐体和连到罐体上的罐底至少由三层组成,而接受封接的开口边缘则由单层组成,罐体和罐底的三层包括形成罐体的树脂和灌进树脂的中间层;形成罐体的树脂由灌进树脂的中间层限制成内层和外层,这样就要使中间层的前端缘定位于罐体和开口边缘接界附近的范围内。
开口边缘是单层的而其余部分是三层的罐体,可用三层的底型坯大量生产。在喷注塑制多层底坯时,由中间体的底到伸出部分的下部构成的坯底和坯体是三层的,由开口部分到伸出部分的下部构成的颈部是单层的。
罐体和罐底是由多层底型坯经拉伸吹塑制成中间体,然后在前述的伸出部分切割中间体则得到单层的开口边缘。
用于制作罐体的树脂是能够产生双轴向取向作用的热塑性树脂,如聚对苯二甲酸乙脂和聚氯乙烯等。用于制作中间层的材料则是在气障性方面优于上述形成罐体的树脂,如聚酰胺树脂、乙烯和乙烯醇的共聚物(EVOH)、聚脂和聚酰胺的混合物;在隔热性能方面优于罐体树脂的材料如聚碳酸脂、聚苯乙烯、可揉制的热塑性树脂材料和玻璃纤维。
在本发明中,即使由底型坯拉伸吹塑制成的中间体,切下其伸出部分以形成一个能进行封接的,完全可以与罐体一起双轴向取向的开口边缘,因为伸出的部分是单层的,所以与单一树脂的情况类似,切下的部分还可以重新被利用作为树脂原料。用于作为中间体的树脂的成本是正常的;中间层不切下,而是全部有效地利用了,因此不会产生材料浪费。
此外,因为开口边缘是由切割单层部分形成的,因此每层的端面不因切割掉伸出部分而外露,且每层端面不因切割的外力而剥离。所以,以后完成的金属盖和开口边缘之间封接具有的强度类似于单层树脂的情形,并且因内压力或气体、液体渗透到各层和在各层之间的渗透引起的破裂不会发生。
按本发明制作的罐体,其壁厚可按盛装的物料相应选择。中间层的壁厚可塑制成10μ-30μ或更大。为防止变形底部壁厚宁可比罐体厚一些;当承受内压力时,底部最好制成承压结构。
本发明的制作方法可利用众所周知的拉伸吹塑机实现,如U.S.Patent.No.4,105,391,介绍的塑制机,关于塑制的条件,用于塑制双轴向取向的容器的条件都能使用。

图1中,参考数字1表示底型坯,坯体由中间层2分成外层(a和内层1b)。中间层2有一前端缘2a,它受到位置的限制以使其位于中间体伸出部分的下面(后面将叙述),使得底型坯的颈部3由单层树脂组成。
这种三层底型坯1可由众所周知的双喷嘴10塑制而成,双喷嘴中两条树脂通道形成同心的通路。塑制是这样完成的,从外面的树脂通道10a将构成型坯的树脂(例如聚对苯二甲酸乙脂)注入颈模4,芯模11与封闭的喷注模具A的空穴中,并且从中间的树脂通道10b,将构成中间层的树脂(例如EVOH)注入到聚对苯二甲酸乙脂中。
控制聚对苯二甲酸乙脂和EVOH的喷注时间,将上述中间层2限制在低于颈模3的部位上。例如,聚对苯二甲酸乙脂喷注1.4秒,停止喷注,然后立刻转向喷注EVOH,0.1秒以后再使聚对苯二甲酸乙脂与EVOH共同喷注,于是制成了底型坯,其颈部是单层的,体和底层是三层的。单层部分的长度随第一次喷注对苯二甲酸乙脂的时间而改变。若喷注时间长,则单层部分出现的比例增加;若时间很短,则情况相反,中间层2延伸到颈部4中。
塑制后,底型坯插到含有予先备有分模装置的吹模B中,并同时由颈模4固定住颈部,将型坯吹塑制成瓶状中间体6(如图2所示)。在这种情况时,若有必要,可将底型坯在插入吹塑B之前置于温度调节装置中,以控制型坯的温度。
塑制中间体6是由轴向拉伸实现的,拉伸杆5经过颈模4插入底型坯1的内底面,空气从拉伸杆5的周围流进底型坯以形成三层的中间体6,中间体6是由罐体61、罐底62和在61上端形成的伸出部分7连接成一个整体,其中的伸出部分7是由罐体61进一步向外膨胀而形成的。
采用拉伸吹塑法,(除去嘴部)聚对苯二甲酸乙脂制成的型坯与由EVOH形成的中间层2一起可以拉伸得很薄,而且底型坯的内层1a与外层1b形成了中间体6的外层6a和内层6b。在中间体6中,从伸出部分的较低处71到嘴部3的这一部分是由单层的聚对苯二甲酸乙脂组成的,而罐体91和罐底92则由聚对苯二甲酸乙脂和EVOH构成的三层结构组成。
中间体6从吹模B取下以后即切下伸出部分7。这是由操作予先准备好的与伸出部分7的较低处71相接触的切割器实现的。中间体6被切成两部分,一部分(参照部件12)是单层的,它是伸出部分7的上面部分,另一部分在开口部分的外围,归罐体所有。开口边缘8是单层的,由伸出部分的较低端7a组成。
罐体9的体91和底92是三层结构,它包括位置限定在开口边缘8之下的中间层2,中层2将罐体分成的外层9a,内层9b。气障性和隔热性则由于有了中间层2而得到改善。罐体9是指经过双轴向取向的开口边缘8到底部92的部分。为了把罐体9做成13(如图5所示),即使当金属盖14的周缘14a和罐体的开口缘8封接成为图6所示的状况,开口缘8也有效地承受了封接时的弯曲应力,并紧密地与周缘14a接触,不会在进行规定的封接时产生任何裂缝。
因为封接是在经过双轴取向的罐体9的单层部位上进行的,所以封接时的弯曲应力不会传到罐体9的三层部分,内层9a,外层9b和中间层相互紧密接触,不会导致层间剥落。
此外,在上述具体实施中,中间层2的端缘2a接近于开口边缘8的端面,因此可以看到这样一种情况,中间层2可以作成使其前端缘2a处于封接部位的状态(如图7所示)。这样,即使模制的前端缘2a产生了不平整的部分,不平整的部分也不会延伸越过开口边缘的端面。

Claims (3)

1、多层合成树脂罐体,其体和底是完整的一体,它有开口边缘,利用开口边缘在伸出部分的较低部位进行封接,上述罐体可由塑制一个用热塑性树脂,例如对苯二甲酸乙脂注塑的或挤压模塑的底型坯大量生产;使用吹塑模和予先准备好的拉伸杆使上述底型坯制成双轴向取向的瓶状中间体,并且使中间体的高端比本体进一步向外扩展形成与中间体相联的伸出部分,在伸出部分的低侧边切割上述中间体,其特征在于,罐体的底和罐身至少由因中间层的存在而形成的三层结构组成,而中间层的正端边缘位于所说的罐体的开口边缘的下边,开口边缘仅仅由构成内层和外层的树脂组成。
2、制造多层合成树脂罐体的方法,该方法包括,采用了至少有两个配置成同心圆环形式的双喷嘴塑制至少是三层结构的底型坯,在塑制成的底型坯中,其中间层的正端边缘的位置在坯的颈部以下;用拉伸吹塑法使多层结构的底型坯成为本体和底部是多层结构,而比本体突出的伸出部分以上的部分是单层结构的瓶状中间体;然后,在中间体伸出部分的低侧边上切掉所说的伸出部分以制成由上述单层低侧边形成开口边缘的罐体,而罐体本身和罐底至少是三层结构。
3、权利要求1中所述的罐体或权利要求2中所述的制造罐体的方法中的中间层是由气障性好,或隔热性能好的热塑性树脂组成,或者是由无机材料与上述热塑性树脂混合而成。
