Abstract

本实用新型有关一种电连接器,其包括若干端子和具有若干收容部穿设其间以容纳端子的绝缘本体。每个端子包括设在一端的接触部,设在相对另一端的焊脚部,及形成在二者之间的转接部。在焊脚部与转接部之间设有扭转部以形成较宽的接触部,同时在相邻焊脚部间形成较宽的间隙。相邻焊脚部间的较宽间隙可避免焊接搭桥现象。

Description

电连接器
本实用新型涉及一种电连接器,尤其是指一种由能在焊接过程中避免焊接搭桥现象的端子所构成的板对板型电连接器。
美国专利第5,836,773号揭示了一种采用SMT技术的高密度板对板型电连接器。请参阅图4,端子48包括用以将端子48焊接到电路板上的焊脚部50,以及固持收容在绝缘本体40的相应的收容部42内的垂直状主体52,该主体52与焊脚部50垂直,并且与焊脚部50具有大致相同的宽度。为确保与对接电连接器端子的可靠接合,要求端子主体52的宽度足够大。但是,在电连接器的焊接过程中,具有此宽度的焊脚部50容易在相邻的焊脚间出现焊接搭桥现象。这样会造成短路,从而危及与电连接器对接的电子设备。因此,必须设计一种用于板对板型电连接器的改良端子。
本实用新型的主要目的在于提供一种电连接器,其上经过改良的端子可有效防止焊接搭桥现象发生。
本实用新型的目的是这样实现的:本实用新型包括若干端子和具有若干收容部以容纳端子的绝缘本体。其特征在于:每个端子包括设在一端的接触部,设在相对另一端的焊脚部,及形成在二者之间的转接部。在相邻接触部间形成具第一宽度的间隙,而在相邻焊脚部间则形成具第二宽度的间隙,又在焊脚部与转接部之间设置了扭转部。焊脚部的侧面与转接部的上表面相垂直,而在扭转前此二表面处于同一平面上。因此,接触部相对较宽而能与对接端子可靠接触,而相邻焊脚部间较宽的间隙也足以避免焊接时搭桥现象的发生。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型的优点在于:在不改变端子接触部宽度的情况下,增大相邻焊脚间的间隙,从而避免焊接时焊接搭桥现象的发生。
下面结合附图和实施例对本实用新型作进一步的说明。
图1是本实用新型的立体分解图,其中图中仅显示了六个端子。
图2是本实用新型的端子料带的放大立体图。
图3是图1中所示电连接器在另一视角下的立体图。
图4是现有技术的局部示意图。
如图1所示,本实用新型包括绝缘本体10及设在绝缘本体10内的若干端子20。
如图2所示,每个端子20包括有设置在一端以电性连接对接端子的接触部23,设在另一端以使端子20焊接至电路板上的焊脚部22,及设在接触部23与焊脚部22之间的转接部25。
端子20互相等距设置。在两相邻接触部23之间形成有具第一宽度的间隙232,而在两相邻焊脚部22之间则形成有具第二宽度的间隙222。每一端子20都有一末端与冲压料带21相连以便于安装。焊脚部22的下表面设有凹槽223。
焊脚部22与转接部25之间设有扭转部27。在扭转前,焊脚部22的侧面241与转接部25的上表面251处于同一平面。由于端子20具有扁平截面,因此扭转后,转接部25比焊脚部22宽。接触部23由转接部25远离焊脚部22的另一端垂直向上延伸,因此接触部23也比焊脚部22宽。因此,相邻接触部23间的第一宽度的间隙232小于相邻焊脚部22间的第二宽度的间隙222。如此,接触部23的扁平结构及较宽的宽度可保证与对接电连接器(未图示)端子的可靠连接。并且,相邻焊脚部22间较宽的间隙222也足以避免焊接过程中搭桥现象的发生。此外在焊脚部22与料带21之间进一步设置有扭转部271。
如图2和图3所示,绝缘本体10包括大致呈矩形的基体11,并于基体11中间位置设有开口15以接合对接电连接器。基体11上设有若干贯穿其中的收容部19,收容部19与开口15相贯通,并相对排列于基体11的两侧以收容端子20。与收容部19相对应,基体11的下表面设有相互间隔设置的若干突起112。一对T形槽17分别设在基体11的相对两端。一对L形金属耳件13设于T形槽17中,包括固定在T形槽17内的板形固持片131和自固持片131底端向外垂直延伸而出的焊接片133。
组合时,端子20的接触部23分别从绝缘本体10的底部插入,并延伸穿过相应的收容部19以连接对接电连接器的对接端子。转接部25的上表面251与绝缘本体10上相应的突起112相互抵靠。固持片131分别嵌于T形槽17内,而焊脚部22和焊接片133则焊接至电路板以固定电连接器。

Claims (12)

1.一种在焊接过程中能避免焊接搭桥的电连接器,包括:设有若干收容部的绝缘本体和若干端子,每一端子包括设在末端的焊脚部和设在另一末端的接触部,其特征在于:在接触部与焊脚部之间设有扭转部,使端子相邻焊脚部间的间隙大于端子相邻接触部间的间隙。
2.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:每一端子还包括形成于焊脚部与接触部之间的转接部,其中扭转部即位于转接部与焊脚部之间。
3.根据权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:转接部的上表面与焊接部的侧面相垂直,而在扭转前此二表面处于同一平面。
4.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:端子互相等距设置。
5.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:端子一端与冲压料带相连以便于安装。
6.根据权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:每一端子还包括设置于焊脚部和料带之间的扭转部。
7.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:其中接触部垂直于转接部,并延伸至相应收容部内。
8.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体包括设置有开口于其中间部位的基体。
9.根据权利要求8所述的电连接器,其特征在于:基体下表面形成有相互交错配置的若干突起,该突起与相应的转接部相互抵靠。
10.根据权利要求8所述的电连接器,其特征在于:基体的相对两端设有一对T形槽。
11.根据权利要求10所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体还包括设在其相对两端的一对金属耳件,且每一金属耳件均具有嵌于对应T形槽中的固持片。
12.根据权利要求11所述的电连接器,其特征在于:每一金属耳件具有自固持片一端向外垂直延伸而出的焊接片,以焊接至电路板。
