Abstract

Description

电连接器组合
本实用新型是关于一种电连接器组合,尤其是指一种具有可使两连接器锁固的扣持装置的电连接器组合。
一般来说,为确保一对对接电连接器间的可靠连接性,会采用扣持装置将这些互相对接的连接器连接在一起。通常,为方便制造和操作,扣持装置设在每一连接器的绝缘本体上。揭示有此特征的发明可参考美国第4,634,204、4,648,665、5,002,504、5,015,199及5,083,933号专利等。参阅图1、2所示,第一电连接器1包括一对第一扣持臂11,而第二电连接器2包括一对第二扣持臂21。在对接过程中,第一及第二扣持臂11、21互相扣接以防止相对接的电连接器1、2彼此分离。
然而,在对接过程中,第一及第二扣持臂11、21并不会自动互相锁固。此外,第一及第二扣持臂11、21各自由两连接器1、2的绝缘本体的的一部分所形成。因此,第一及第二扣持臂1、2并不能提供接地功能,而需在两连接器的间提供额外的接地性连接。最后,由绝缘材料(通常是塑料)制成的两扣持臂11、21的强度并不足以在不当操作下保持确实的锁固效果。
本实用新型的目的在于提供一种具有能在两连接器之间提供接地功能和确实锁固功能的扣持装置的电连接器组合。
本实用新型的目的是这样实现的:电连接器组合包括上连接器和下连接器,上连接器包括一对位于其侧面的金属弹性臂,而下连接器包括一对与上连接器的弹性臂相对应的金属锁臂。每一弹性臂包括一对向外延伸的外部弹性板和向内延伸的中央弹性板。外部弹性板的两较低端部是通过一肩部连接起来,而中央弹性板的较低端部与肩部相隔开。锁臂包括长形主体,从主体下边垂直延伸出来的基板,及一对从基板向下延伸,以将下连接器固定到印刷电路板上的板锁件。一对锁尖垂直从长形主体上部的侧缘垂直延伸而出以扣持于相对应的肩部上。一对推柄与下连接器的绝缘主体一体成型且用来解除锁尖与肩部的连接。从而使上、下连接器即能非常方便地分开。
与现有技术相比较,本实用新型的优点在于:电连接器组合借扣持装置在两连接器之间提供接地和确实锁固功能。
下面结合附图和实施例对本实用新型作进一步说明。
图1是现有的两电连接器相互对接示意的立体分解图。
图2是图1中两连接器对接后的立体图。
图3是本实用新型两电连接器分别连接到印刷电路板上时的局部剖视示意的侧视图。
图4是图3所示扣持装置组至相对接的电连接器内局部剖视放大的立体图。
图5是图4所示扣持装置在对接前分别组至电连接器内的局部放大剖视图。
图6是图5所示连接器对接在一起后的局部放大剖视图。
图7是图5所示连接器通过指压加以分离的局部放大剖视图。
图8是类似于图7所示电连接器且其已彼此分离的局部放大剖视图。
图9是本实用新型另一实施例的放大剖视图。
如图3及图4所示,本实用新型电连接器组合包括下连接器3和上连接器4,下连接器3和上连接器4各自安装到电路板31和41上,在本实施例中电路板31为母电路板,电路板41为子电路板。上连接器4包括一对在侧面的弹性臂42。下连接器3包括一对位置与弹性臂42相对应的锁臂32。弹性臂42和锁臂32都由金属材料制成。
每一弹性臂42包括一对向外延伸的外部弹性板421和一个向内延伸的中央弹性板422。外部弹性板421通过一在弹性臂42下末端的锁固用肩部420连接起来,而且中央弹性板422的下末端则与该肩部420相分离。弹性臂42的上半部则固定定位于上连接器4中。
锁臂32包括长形主体320,从主体320下边缘垂直延伸的基板321,及一对从基板321向下延伸以将下连接器3固定到印刷电路板31上的板锁件322。接地线路连接到电路板31的对应孔上以电性接触锁臂32的板锁件322,这样当连接器3连到电路板31上时,板锁件322也连通成接地电位。锁尖324从长形主体324顶部的侧边缘垂直延伸而出以与相应肩部420锁固在一起。一对缺口326分别设置在锁尖324下方的长形主体320的侧边上。一推柄34一体成型于下连接器3的绝缘主体(未标号),且位于对应锁臂32的外侧。该推柄34包含从其顶部向内延伸的凸部342。
如图5和图6所示,上连接器4向下插入而与下连接器3相连接。在对接过程中,锁臂32的锁尖324能很容易滑过并与弹性臂42的肩部420锁在一起。因此,上连接器4与下连接器3即可稳固地锁接在一起。此外,通过锁臂32与弹性臂42的电性接触,使上连接器4与下连接器3之间能建立一接地路径。
如图7和图8所示,为将连接器3、4分离的操作示意。向里按压推柄34以使凸部342向内推动对应的外部弹性臂421,从而使肩部420与锁尖324分离。这样,上连接器4能很自由地与上连接器3分开。进一步参阅图9所示的本实用新型另一实施例。其中凸部342与凸尖3420设置在一起。这样,外部弹性臂421更易于向内按压,而使锁尖324能更易于与肩部420分离。

Claims (8)

1.一种电连接器组合,用于不同电路板之间的信号传送,主要包括互相对接的上连接器和下连接器,其特征在于:上连接器侧面设置有一对金属弹性臂,而下连接器设置有一对与第一连接器弹性臂对应的金属锁臂,一对推柄从下连接器的绝缘主体延伸出来,且位于锁臂外侧,这些锁臂分别与弹性臂锁固在一起,且推柄可向内推动使锁臂与弹性臂分离。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器组合,其特征在于:对接的上、下连接器分别安装在子电路板与母电路板上。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接器组合,其特征在于:金属弹性臂上设有一对外部弹性板和中央弹性板,外部弹性板向外延伸,而中央弹性板向内延伸。
4.如权利要求3所述的电连接器组合,其特征在于:锁臂包括长形主体,基板和一对板锁件,基板从长形主体下边缘垂直延伸而出,一对板锁件从基板向下延伸而出,而将下连接器固持到对应电路板上。
5.如权利要求3所述的电连接器组合,其特征在于:外部弹性板的较低端通过肩部连接,中央弹性板较低端与肩部分离。
6.如权利要求4所述的电连接器组合,其特征在于:一对锁尖从长形主体的顶部侧缘垂直延伸而出。
7.如权利要求1或5所述的电连接器组合,其特征在于:每一推柄上设有凸部,凸部向内延伸而可向内按压上连接器上相对应的外部弹性臂。
8.如权利要求4所述的电连接器组合,其特征在于:电路线路位于电路板上,且电性接触锁臂的板锁件。
