现有的双金属片式热保护器，如专利申请号为91218194.X的双金属片式温度继电器，由外壳和用环氧树脂密封在壳内的触头、弹簧片、接触片、双金属片、绝缘件等组成，触头设置在弹簧片的一端，双金属片设置在弹簧片的底部，电流经弹簧片流过。这种继电器主要用于温度的保护，当密封腔内的温度达到一定的值时，双金属片产生形变，推动弹簧片，使触头断开，对过流保护不敏感，继电器本身结构比较复杂。
本实用新型的目的是要提供结构简单，具有很好的电流和温度保护性能的双金属片式电流温度热保护器。
本实用新型的目的是通过对现有的温度型热保护器的改进实现的，双金属片式电流温度热保护器，包括外壳1和用环氧树脂密封在外壳内的触头2、接触片3、双金属片4、绝缘件7，其特征在于热保护器设有支撑件5、支座6，双金属片4的一端连接固定在支撑件5上，另一端设置触头2，支座6上设有用于双金属片4与支撑件5连接固定的工艺孔。为了保证接触片有良好的导电性能，接触片3采用银合金材料。
本实用新型结构简单合理，生产制造容易，成本低，当电流或温度超过一定值时，双金属片发生形变，触头和接触片能迅速断开。可广泛用于电机、电器的电流过载和温度控制保护，有很好的推广应用价值。

支撑件5、支座6穿设在绝缘件7中，触头2焊接固定在双金属片4的一端，双金属片4的另一端焊接固定在支撑件5上，采用银合金材料的接触片3焊接在支座6上，支座6上设工艺孔，导线8分别与支撑件5和支座6连接，把触头2、双金属片4、支撑件5、接触片3、支座6、绝缘件7构成的组件插入外壳1内，口部用环氧树指封闭。
