The specific meaning of the above terms in the present application can be understood in a specific case by those of ordinary skill in the art.
In addition, the technical features mentioned in the different embodiments of the present application described below may be combined with each other as long as they do not conflict with each other.
One embodiment of a vehicle airbag mounting assembly of the present application, particularly adapted for passenger side airbag mounting in a vehicle, is shown in FIG. 1. It comprises the following steps: an instrument panel 10, an airbag module 20 located inside the instrument panel 10, and an airbag frame 30 for fixing the airbag module 20 to the instrument panel 10.
Wherein, the airbag module 20 comprises an airbag body 21 and an airbag bracket 22, the airbag body 21 is used for bursting through the instrument panel 10 and rapidly inflating to protect an occupant when a vehicle is impacted; the airbag bracket 22 is used for being connected with the airbag frame 30 to realize the installation and fixation of the airbag module 20; the airbag frame 30 includes a first frame portion 30a located on an upper side of the airbag module 20, and a second frame portion 30b located on an outer periphery of the airbag module 20; the position above the airbag module 20 means that the airbag module 20 is positioned above the upper surface of the airbag module 20 in a mounted state in the vehicle, and the position at the periphery of the airbag module 20 means a portion having a surface overlapping with the side surface of the airbag module 20 in the longitudinal direction; wherein a gap a1 between an inner wall of the first frame portion 30a and an outer wall of the airbag body 21 is smaller than a gap a2 between an inner wall of the second frame portion 30b and an outer wall of the airbag body 21. That is, the first frame portion 30a is retracted inward with respect to the second frame portion 30b, and a distance in the horizontal direction between the inner walls of the first frame portion 30a on both sides thereof is smaller than a distance in the horizontal direction between the inner walls of the second frame portion 30b on both sides thereof.
Because the impact force of the airbag body 21 can burst the instrument panel 10 when a vehicle collides, the width of the instrument panel 10 usually needs to be two times +10-15mm of the width of the frame (i.e. the first frame) on the upper side of the airbag module 20, and the airbag module 20 is mounted on the second frame 30b with a wider lower side by adopting a structure with a narrow upper side and a wide lower side.
Specifically, a gap a1 between an inner wall of the first frame portion 30a and an outer wall of the airbag body 21 is between 1 and 3mm. Since the airbag body 21 needs to be punched outward by the first frame portion 30a, the first frame portion 30a needs to be slightly larger than the size of the airbag body 21 so as to smoothly pass through the area where the first frame portion 30a is located and act on the instrument panel 10. Since the width of the instrument panel 10 is determined by the size of the first frame portion 30a, the gap a1 between the inner wall of the first frame portion 30a and the outer wall of the airbag main body 21 is 1 to 3mm, and therefore the size of the first frame portion 30a can be reduced as much as possible, and the width of the instrument panel 10 can be reduced.
Specifically, the gap a2 between the inner wall of the second frame portion 30b and the outer wall of the airbag body 21 is between 5 and 8mm. In this way, the inner wall of the second frame portion 30b is spaced from the inner wall of the first frame portion 30a by 2 to 7mm in the width direction, so that the airbag module 20 of a sufficiently large size is mounted and fixed to the second frame portion 30 b.
Specifically, in order to improve the strength of the airbag frame 30, a rib structure is provided on the outer periphery of the frame body of the airbag frame 30.
Specifically, the airbag frame 30 further includes a first connecting portion connected to the instrument panel 10, and a second connecting portion (not shown) connected to the airbag bracket 22.
More specifically, the first connecting portion is a first outer edge connected to an upper side of the first frame portion 30a, and the first outer edge is fixedly connected to a lower side of the instrument panel 10. The first outer edge is integrally formed on the upper side of the first frame portion 30a, and the first outer edge and the instrument panel 10 are fixedly connected in different manners, for example, the first outer edge and the instrument panel are connected by a snap, or the first outer edge and the instrument panel are connected integrally by hot melt adhesive.
More specifically, the second connecting portion is a first inner edge connected to an inner wall of the second frame portion 30b, and the first inner edge is connected to the airbag bracket 22. The first inner edge is integrally formed on the inner wall of the second frame portion 30b, and the connection manner of the first inner edge to the airbag support 22 is not unique, and for example, fastening bolts penetrating between the first inner edge and the second inner edge may be detachably connected.
Specifically, the distance A between the upper surface of the airbag body 21 and the lower surface of the instrument panel 10 is between 3 and 8mm. Since the upper surface of the airbag module 20 is not disposed parallel to the lower surface of the instrument panel 10, the height of the gap therebetween is different from each other, and the distance therebetween is 3 to 8mm, which ensures that the airbag module 20 can reliably be flushed from the side of the instrument panel 10 without causing chipping of the instrument panel 10 to impact the vehicle occupant.
Specifically, the airbag mounting assembly further includes a first airbag hinge 41 and a second airbag hinge 42 fixed to the airbag frame 30 and the instrument panel 10, and when the airbag module 20 is exploded, the first airbag hinge 41 and the second airbag hinge 42 respectively rotate around a corner between the first frame portion 30a and the first outer edge of the airbag frame 30. More specifically, the first and second airbag hinges 41 and 42 are fabric hinges, respectively, the first and second airbag hinges 41 and 42 include a first portion 40a fixed to the airbag frame 30 and a second portion 40b fixed to the instrument panel 10, respectively, and the first and second airbag hinges 41 and 42 are formed in an L shape, respectively.
When the airbag body 21 is punched out of the instrument panel 10 to the outside, the second portion 40b of the fabric hinge fixed to the lower side of the instrument panel 10 can be turned around the corner of the L shape to be turned over to the outside of the instrument panel 10, so as to prevent the panel body of the instrument panel 10 from being broken and punching out with the airbag body 21 to injure the occupant. For this reason, the minimum width of the instrument panel 10 needs to be larger than the sum of the diameters of the rotational arcs of the first and second airbag hinges 41 and 42 about the respective rotational axes, i.e., the minimum width of the instrument panel 10 is 2 times the length L1 of the second portion 40b of the first airbag hinge 41 + 2 times the length L2 of the second portion 40b of the second airbag hinge 42 +10 to 15mm.
More specifically, the second portion 40b of the first airbag hinge 41 meets the second portion 40b of the second airbag hinge 42, and a weakened area is provided in the instrument panel 10 at the portion where the first airbag hinge 41 meets the second airbag hinge 42, so that the airbag body 21 is punched out along the weakened area when it is punched out.
The present application also provides a specific embodiment of a vehicle having the airbag mounting assembly, which is different from the existing vehicle in that the airbag mounting assembly is provided, and the detailed description of the specific embodiment of the airbag mounting assembly is omitted.
It should be understood that the above examples are only for clarity of illustration and are not intended to limit the embodiments. Other variations and modifications will be apparent to persons skilled in the art in light of the above description. And are neither required nor exhaustive of all embodiments. And obvious variations or modifications of this invention are intended to be covered by the present application.
