6. A cooling element for a smoking article according to claim 5 wherein the number of ribs is from 4 to 8; the raised strips are uniformly arranged along the circumferential direction of the columnar body.
7. The cooling element for a smoking article according to claim 1, wherein the extending ends of the ribs are not contiguous with each other, and the extending lengths of the ribs are the same and smaller than the radius of the hollow body.
8. A cooling element for a smoking article according to claim 7 wherein the ratio of the extent of the ribs to the radius of the hollow body is from 1 to 3: 4.
9. a smoking article comprising, in order from a smoking end to a smoking end, a smoking element, a cooling element and a filter element; wherein the cooling element is a cooling element of a smoking article according to any one of claims 1 to 8.
10. A smoking article according to claim 9 wherein the material of the smoking element is selected from green tea, black tea, dark tea, white tea, yellow tea, scented tea, oolong tea, fruit tea, scented tea or herbal tea.
11. A smoking article according to claim 9, wherein the filter element comprises a one-piece, two-piece, or three-piece construction.
12. The smoking article of claim 11, wherein the one-piece structure comprises a solid cylinder, a hollow cylinder, or a hollow cylinder; the two-section structure comprises a combination of any two structures of a hollow cylinder, a solid cylinder and a hollow cylinder; the three-section structure comprises at least two structures of a hollow column body, a solid column body and a hollow column body which are combined according to three sections.
13. A smoking article according to claim 12, wherein the cross-sectional shape of the hollow cylinder comprises a circle, an ellipse, a square, a regular hexagon, a heart, a pentagon or a torus.
14. A smoking article according to claim 12 wherein a bead is provided between the cooling element and the filter element and/or embedded within the solid cylinder of the filter element, the bead containing a flavour or fragrance.
15. A smoking article according to claim 14, wherein the flavour or fragrance is selected from strawberry extract, banana extract, watermelon extract, juicy peach extract, blueberry extract, pineapple extract, mango extract, clove extract, eaglewood extract, cantaloupe extract, apple extract, citrus extract, coffee or menthol.
