Referring to FIG. 1, an upright surface cleaning apparatus 100 according to the present invention is shown. The device 100 includes an upright handle portion 10 and a cleaning base 20 pivotally mounted to the underside of the upright handle portion 10 and adapted to be moved across a floor surface. For purposes of description with respect to the figures, the terms "upper", "lower", "right", "left", "rear", "front", "vertical", "horizontal", "inner", "outer", and derivatives thereof, are defined in the perspective of a user standing on the rear side of the upright surface cleaning apparatus 10 facing forward.
As shown in fig. 2, the upright handle portion 10 includes an upper handle 11, a lower body 12, and a water tank 13, a dirty liquid tank 14, and a suction motor 15 supported on the lower body 12. Also provided in the lower body 12 are a steam generator 16 and a water pump 17 for supplying water from the water tank 13 to the steam generator 16. The upper handle 11 is provided with a control key (not shown in the figure) for controlling the operation of the whole apparatus.
The cleaning base 20 includes a housing 22 having a suction port 21 at a lower portion thereof, a roll brush chamber 23 in the housing 21, a roll brush 24 installed in the roll brush chamber 23 and having a portion of bristles protruding downward from the suction port 21, a suction passage 25 in the housing 21, and a nozzle 27 for spraying cleaning fluid toward the roll brush 24. The suction passage 25 is located behind the rolling brush chamber 23, and the front end portion of the suction passage 25 communicates with the rolling brush chamber 23, and the suction port 21, the rolling brush chamber 23, and the suction passage 24 communicate in this order.
The upright surface cleaning apparatus 100 further includes a fluid delivery path and a dirty liquid recovery path; as shown in fig. 3, the fluid delivery path includes a water output passage 18 for communicating the water tank 13 and the steam generator 16, and a steam output passage 19 for connecting the output end of the steam generator 16 to the nozzle 27, the water pump 17 is connected in series in the water output passage 18, a detergent supply unit 30 and a fragrance unit 40 are arranged on the path of the steam output passage 19, and the steam can be entrained with the detergent in the detergent supply unit 30 and the fragrance in the fragrance unit 40 to escape to the roller brush 24 during the flowing process from the steam output passage 19.
As shown in fig. 4, the dirty liquid recovery path includes a passage that sequentially communicates the suction port 21, the roll brush chamber 23, the suction passage 25, and the dirty liquid tank 14, and the dirty liquid recovery path can suck up dirty liquid and dirt from the surface to be cleaned and send the dirty liquid into the dirty liquid tank 14 by using the suction force provided by the suction motor 15, solid and liquid dirt remains in the dirty liquid tank 14, and clean air is discharged to the outside after flowing through the suction motor 15.
As shown in fig. 5, the detergent supply unit 30 includes a detergent passage 31 for guiding the output of the detergent and a detergent storage chamber 32 for storing the detergent and communicating with the detergent passage 31, and the detergent passage 31 is connected to the steam output passage 19 of the cleaning fluid transfer path. In this example, the steam output passage 19 includes a narrowed portion 190 with a narrowed cross-sectional area at one end, and the narrowed portion 190 enables the detergent in the detergent passage 31 to be sucked into the steam output passage 19 by venturi effect through the changed cross-sectional area, and the detergent is mixed with the steam and then delivered to the nozzle. The method specifically comprises the following steps: when the steam reaches the constriction 190, the flow velocity of the steam increases, creating a low pressure zone in the detergent passage 31, in such a way that the detergent is sucked into the steam outlet passage 19, mixing with the steam and being ejected from the front nozzle 27.
In other embodiments, the detergent supply unit may be provided without a separate detergent storage chamber, and an alternative solution is to provide an external insertion hole (not shown) on the top of the cleaning base for externally connecting a bottle or box-shaped detergent container, and provide a hole cover at the external insertion hole, so that when a user needs to use steam to cooperate with the detergent, the bottle or box-shaped detergent can be directly inserted at the insertion hole.
As further shown in fig. 5, the fragrance unit 40 includes a fragrance receiving chamber 41 for storing fragrance; the fragrance receiving chamber 41 is provided on the path of the steam output path 19 and is in air flow communication with the steam output path 19, and the fragrance unit 40 is located downstream of the detergent supply unit 30. In this example, the aromatic agent contained in the aromatic agent containing chamber 41 is a consumable material, which is water-soluble, and when the steam contacts with the aromatic agent, the heat and moisture in the steam can accelerate the aromatic agent to release fragrance to the steam or the surrounding air, thereby improving the smell of the external environment. Since the fragrance is consumable, it is necessary to provide the fragrance receiving chamber 41 in an openable type, so that it is convenient for a user to replace the ineffective fragrance.
The detergent supply unit and the fragrance unit may be disposed on the cleaning base, or may be disposed between the upright handle and the cleaning base, so long as the detergent and fragrance are allowed to escape together with the steam.
When the steam cleaning device works, the steam generator 16 starts to work, the water pump 17 continuously conveys the water in the water tank 13 into the steam generator 16 to be converted into steam, the steam output from the output end of the steam generator 16 flows to the aromatic agent accommodating chamber 41 from the steam output passage 19 through the entrained detergent, the mixed liquid of the steam and the detergent with aromatic agent fragrance is output to each nozzle 27, the nozzle 27 sprays the steam to the rolling brush 24, the rolling brush 24 conveys the steam to the floor to be cleaned for steam cleaning, the rolling brush 24 simultaneously conveys the dirty liquid and dirt on the surface to be cleaned into the suction passage 25 and then conveys the dirty liquid to the dirty liquid tank 14 during the rotation process, the solid and liquid garbage are retained in the dirty liquid tank 14, the clean air escapes to the outside after passing through the suction motor 15, the fragrance in the aromatic agent is retained in the floor and the air, thereby improving the air environment of the surface to be cleaned.
This embodiment facilitates the user to clean and remove stubborn stains on the surface to be cleaned by introducing the detergent supply unit into the steam output path and by providing a section of the steam output path as a venturi structure, which enables the detergent supply unit to automatically supply the detergent.
The above embodiments are only for illustrating the technical concept and features of the present invention, and the purpose of the embodiments is to enable people skilled in the art to understand the contents of the present invention and to implement the present invention, which cannot limit the protection scope of the present invention. All equivalent changes and modifications made according to the spirit of the present invention should be covered within the protection scope of the present invention.
