The platform 39 is advantageously provided with a lower retaining portion 42, which lower retaining portion 42 extends transversely to the upper surface of the platform 39 and is configured to cooperate with the rear portion of the ironing base plate 9.
The platform 39 also comprises a stop member 43 for abutting the foot 40 in the deployed position. Thus, the stop member 43 is configured to limit the pivotal travel of the foot 40 opposite the platform 39. Advantageously, the stop member 43 protrudes from the lower surface of the platform 39.
The platform 39 also includes a foot locking device configured to lock the feet 40 in the folded position. Such foot locking means allow, in particular, to easily install the support appendix 37 in the storage cavity 38 and also to avoid any undesired spreading of the foot 40.
Advantageously, the foot locking means comprises a locking member 44, such as a locking finger or a locking tongue, which locking member 44 is arranged on the platform 39 and is movable between a locking position, in which the locking member 44 cooperates with the foot 40 in order to hold the foot 40 in the folded position, and a releasing position, in which the locking member 44 releases the foot 40 and permits the foot 40 to pivot into the unfolded position. Advantageously, the locking member 44 protrudes from the lower surface of the platform 39 and is elastically deformable between respective locking and release positions.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the base 4 also comprises an accessory locking device configured to lock the support accessory 37 in the storage cavity 38. These arrangements ensure in particular a secure mounting of the support appendix 37 in the storage cavity 38.
Advantageously, the accessory locking means comprise a locking element 45, for example a locking finger or a locking tongue, the locking element 45 being provided on the base 4 and being movable between a locking position, in which the locking element 45 cooperates with the platform 39 so as to retain the platform 39 in the storage cavity 38, and a release position, in which the locking element 45 releases the platform 39 and permits the platform 39 to be extracted from the storage cavity 38. The locking element 45 is elastically deformable, for example between a respective locking position and a release position.
The accessory locking device further comprises a catch housing 46, which catch housing 46 is provided on the base plate 4 and is configured to receive a catch member 47, such as a catch finger or catch tab, which catch member 47 is provided on the support accessory 37 and, for example, on the platform 39. Advantageously, the interception housing 46 is located opposite the locking element 45.
The platform 39 further comprises a plurality of steam passage openings 48, the plurality of steam passage openings 48 being configured to allow passage of steam generated by the iron 3 when the iron 3 rests on the platform 39 during the automatic cleaning operation.
Fig. 14 and 15 show an iron 3 according to an embodiment variant of the invention, which differs from the iron shown in fig. 1 to 13 mainly in that the upper end of the blocking wall 30 is located in the vicinity of the closing plate 16 and therefore delimits a small-sized lateral through opening 29. This configuration of the blocking wall 30 allows to further limit the introduction of scale particles into the lateral distribution channel 28.
The invention is of course in no way limited to the embodiments described and shown by way of example. Modifications can be made, in particular from the point of view of the construction of the various elements or by substituting technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the present invention.

Claims (11)

1. Ironing apparatus equipped with a supporting accessory, comprising an iron (3) and a base (4), said base (4) being connected to said iron (3) by connecting wires, wherein said base (4) comprises a storage cavity (38) and said supporting accessory (37) is removably mounted in said storage cavity (38), said supporting accessory (37) comprising a platform (39), said platform (39) being adapted to receive an ironing base plate (9) of said iron (3).
2. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said supporting accessory (37) is configured to keep the iron (3) in a predetermined inclined position in which the ironing base plate (9) of the iron (3) is inclined with respect to the horizontal plane by an angle comprised between 30 ° and 60 °.
3. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said supporting appendix (37) comprises a foot (40), said foot (40) being pivotably mounted on said platform (39), said foot (40) being suitable to occupy a folded position, in which said foot (40) is arranged in the plane of said platform (39), and an unfolded position, in which an end of said platform (39) is raised by said foot (40).
4. Ironing apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said platform (39) is configured to stably rest on said foot (40) in said unfolded position at an angle comprised between 30 ° and 60 ° with respect to the horizontal plane.
5. Ironing apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said platform (39) comprises a stop member (43), said stop member (43) being intended to rest on said foot (40) in said unfolded position, said stop member (43) being configured to limit the pivoting travel of said foot (40) opposite said platform (39).
6. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said storage chamber (38) is arranged on a lower surface of said base (4).
7. Ironing apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said platform (39) comprises foot locking means configured to lock said foot (40) in said folded position.
8. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said base (4) comprises accessory locking means configured to lock said supporting accessory (37) in said storage cavity (38).
9. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the ironing base plate (9) comprises an ironing surface (11) and at least one steam outlet (12) opening into the ironing surface (11), and wherein the iron (3) further comprises:
-a heating body (13) comprising an evaporation chamber (17);
-a vapour distribution circuit (26) fluidly connecting the evaporation chamber (17) to the at least one vapour discharge opening (12), and the vapour generated by the evaporation chamber (17) is intended to flow in the vapour distribution circuit (26).
10. Ironing apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the steam distribution circuit (26) comprises a scale recovery chamber (32), the scale recovery chamber (32) comprising a drain (33), the drain (33) being closed by a removable plug (34), the removable plug (34) being accessible from the outside of the iron (3).
11. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the ironing apparatus (2) further comprises a water tank (5) and a water supply circuit fluidly connected to the water tank (5) and configured to supply water to the iron (3).
