Technical Field

Ironing devices comprise in a known manner:
-an iron comprising a soleplate, a steaming chamber, the soleplate being provided with an ironing surface and at least one steam outlet opening into the ironing surface, and a steam distribution circuit fluidly connecting the steaming chamber to the at least one steam outlet, and the steam generated by the steaming chamber being for flowing in the steam distribution circuit; and
-a base connected to the iron by a connection line, said base being able to house a water tank.
Such an iron may advantageously be configured to enable an automatic cleaning operation of the iron. Such cleaning operations include: heating the evaporation chamber to a predetermined temperature and supplying water to the evaporation chamber at a water flow rate greater than a maximum water flow rate used in an ironing operation.
In order to ensure satisfactory efficiency in such automatic cleaning operations, it is known to provide the iron on a support accessory dedicated to the automatic cleaning operation.
However, such support accessories may be misplaced or difficult to reach by the user, which may cause the user to perform a self-cleaning operation without setting the iron on a dedicated support accessory. The platform 39 further comprises a stop member 43 for abutting the foot 40 in the deployed position. Thus, the stop member 43 is configured to limit the pivoting travel of the foot 40 opposite the platform 39. Advantageously, the stop member 43 protrudes from the lower surface of the platform 39.
The platform 39 also includes foot locking means configured to lock the feet 40 in the folded position. Such foot locking means allow in particular easy installation of the support accessory 37 in the storage chamber 38 and also allow avoiding any undesired unfolding of the foot 40.
Advantageously, the foot locking means comprises a locking member 44, such as a locking finger or a locking tongue, which locking member 44 is provided on the platform 39 and is movable between a locking position, in which the locking member 44 cooperates with the foot 40 in order to hold the foot 40 in the folded position, and a release position, in which the locking member 44 releases the foot 40 and permits the foot 40 to pivot to the unfolded position. Advantageously, the locking member 44 protrudes from the lower surface of the platform 39 and is elastically deformable between a respective locking position and a release position.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the base 4 further comprises an accessory locking device configured to lock the support accessory 37 in the storage cavity 38. These arrangements ensure in particular a firm mounting of the support appendage 37 in the storage chamber 38.
Advantageously, the accessory locking means comprise a locking element 45, such as a locking finger or a locking tongue, which locking element 45 is provided on the base 4, and is movable between a locking position, in which the locking element 45 cooperates with the platform 39 in order to retain the platform 39 in the storage cavity 38, and a release position, in which the locking element 45 releases the platform 39 and permits the removal of the platform 39 from the storage cavity 38. The locking element 45 is elastically deformable, for example, between a respective locking position and a release position.
The accessory locking device further includes a catch receptacle 46, the catch receptacle 46 being provided on the base 4 and configured to receive a catch member 47, such as a catch finger or catch tab, the catch member 47 being provided on the support accessory 37 and, for example, on the platform 39. Advantageously, the interception receptacle 46 is located opposite the locking element 45.
The platform 39 further comprises a plurality of steam passing openings 48 configured to allow the steam generated by the iron 3 to pass through when the iron 3 is resting on the platform 39 during an automatic cleaning operation.
Fig. 14 and 15 show an iron 3 according to one embodiment variant of the invention, which differs from the one shown in fig. 1 to 13 mainly in that the upper end of the blocking wall 30 is located in the vicinity of the closing plate 16 and thus delimits a lateral passage opening 29 of small size. This configuration of the blocking wall 30 allows to further limit the introduction of scale particles into the lateral distribution channel 28.
Of course, the invention is by no means limited to the embodiments described and shown by way of example. Modifications can be made without departing from the scope of protection of the invention, in particular from the constructive point of view of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents.

Claims (10)

1. Ironing device equipped with a support accessory, comprising an iron (3) and a base (4), the base (4) being connected to the iron (3) by a connection line, wherein the iron (3) is capable of resting on an upper surface of the base (4), the base (4) comprises a storage cavity (38), and a support accessory (37) is removably mounted in the storage cavity (38), the support accessory (37) comprises a platform (39), the platform (39) being adapted to receive an ironing base plate (9) of the iron (3) after the support accessory (37) is removed from the base (4),
wherein the support accessory (37) comprises a foot (40), the foot (40) being pivotally mounted on the platform (39), the foot (40) being adapted to occupy a folded position in which the foot (40) is disposed in the plane of the platform (39), and an unfolded position in which an end of the platform (39) is raised by the foot (40).
2. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said support accessory (37) is configured to hold said iron (3) in a predetermined inclined position in which said ironing base plate (9) of said iron (3) is inclined with respect to the horizontal plane by an angle comprised between 30 ° and 60 °.
3. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said platform (39) is configured to rest stably on said foot (40) in said unfolded position at an angle comprised between 30 ° and 60 ° with respect to the horizontal plane.
4. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the platform (39) comprises a stop member (43), the stop member (43) being intended to rest on the foot (40) in the unfolded position, the stop member (43) being configured to limit the pivoting travel of the foot (40) opposite the platform (39).
5. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said storage cavity (38) is arranged on a lower surface of said base (4).
6. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the platform (39) comprises foot locking means configured to lock the foot (40) in the folded position.
7. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the base (4) comprises accessory locking means configured to lock the support accessory (37) in the storage cavity (38).
8. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the ironing base plate (9) comprises an ironing surface (11) and at least one steam outlet opening (12) leading to the ironing surface (11), and wherein the iron (3) further comprises:
-a heating body (13) comprising an evaporation chamber (17);
-a steam distribution circuit (27) fluidly connecting the evaporation chamber (17) to the at least one steam outlet (12), and steam generated by the evaporation chamber (17) is used for flowing in the steam distribution circuit (27).
9. Ironing apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the steam distribution circuit (27) comprises a scale recovery chamber (32), the scale recovery chamber (32) comprising an evacuation port (33), the evacuation port (33) being closed by a removable plug (34), the removable plug (34) being accessible from outside the iron (3).
10. Ironing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, further comprising a water tank (5) and a water supply circuit, the water supply circuit being fluidly connected to the water tank (5) and configured to supply water to the iron (3).
