菜刀是切菜用的工具，一般正常的食物切割使用菜刀切就可以了，但是针对一些硬度较高或是需要重复切割的东西菜刀切起来就十分费力了，而且切割效果不好，因此需要使用到铡刀，在应对较硬或是需要重复切割的物品时铡刀使用起来就非常方便了，也不会很费力，但是市场上的菜刀跟铡刀是分开的两件物品，如果两件都购买就会增大开销，而且铡刀不是经常会使用的，放置时间长刀容易生锈。

为了克服现有技术的上述缺点，本实用新型提供一种多用菜刀，它将菜刀与铡刀相结合，从而使一把刀能够实现多用，具有使用方便、结构简单、节省材料及成本等特点。
