链条是常用的一种传动装置，应用的范围十分广泛。链条绕制在链轮上，链条在运行中，会由于链条、链轮的磨损导致问题越来越多，由于链条长时间受力后会发生塑性变形进而变长，严重时还会发生跳齿、掉链的现象从而导致传动过程中断甚而发生事故。松弛后的链条容易掉链，掉链的频繁降低了工作效率，也增加了险情隐患，因此就张紧装置对链条进行张紧。目前是使用张紧辊来对链条进行张紧，但是张紧辊没有限位装置，链条仍然容易从张紧辊上滑脱。

如图1所示，本实用新型包括连接齿轮1的链条2，在链条2的外侧设有弧形顶板3，弧形顶板3凸起的一面朝向链条2，弧形顶板3凸起的一面为光滑表面。

为了防止链条从顶板上滑落，在顶板3两侧边缘设有挡片4。
为了增加链条的张紧效果，可以在链条两侧分别设置弧形顶板3，两个弧形顶板3同时提高了预防链条掉链的能力。
