所述阀体2内安置有一阀杆6，阀杆6末端与球体3连接，顶端与手柄连接，驱动手柄旋转可使球体3旋转，从而控制球阀3开启或关闭。
阀盖1内开有一介质进口11，阀体2末端开有一介质出口21。当旋转手柄，球阀3开启，介质从介质进口11流入，流经球体3时，介质的冲力将挡板5打开，介质从介质出口21流出；而当介质被中断后，介质回流，挡板5关闭将回流的介质截止，而后可旋转手柄将球阀3关闭。
