申请专利号:01135544.1,名称:杠杆自行车。一种杠杆自行车,其特征在于采用杠杆机构配合棘轮机构组成杠杆、棘轮连动机构驱动自行车,彻底摈弃了链条、链轮,进而减掉了中轴、链合等与之相关构件。 
发明内容
一种新型自行车,具有大叉梁、左齿杆、右齿杆、左飞轮齿轮、右飞轮齿轮、齿杆限位杆、齿杆轴承和两个齿杆复位弹簧。该自行车不用中轴、曲轴、踏板、链轮及传动链条等部件,采用简洁的双齿杆双飞轮齿轮驱动,它通过齿杆提高了传动比,齿杆轴心到飞轮轴心的距离R齿杆是飞轮半径R飞轮的几倍,传动比就是几:因为在蹬踏齿杆的一个周期内,齿杆与飞轮相接触的齿数相等,即齿杆和飞轮转过的弧长相等。因此有: 
     R齿杆 θ齿杆=R飞轮θ飞轮
∴ θ飞轮齿杆= R齿杆/R飞轮。 
可见:飞轮与齿杆转过的角度比等于齿杆与飞轮的半径比,即转角与半径成反比。实际设计时,只要增大齿杆与飞轮的半径比,就可增大传动比,这完全替代了链轮增大传动比的作用。实际设计时,传动比可以达到4-5。就是说双齿杆双飞轮自行车可以比杠杆自行车提高速度4-5倍,同时还能使动力矩增大,即省了力。因此,双齿杆双飞轮自行车精简、革新了传动机构、节省了材料、减少了摩擦环节,省了力、提高了效率,而且制造成本减少,制造、安装、维修和使用都简便了,是一种很实用的新型自行车。骑行时既可以左右两腿一上一下分别蹬踏齿杆,也可以同时蹬踏两齿杆,驱动自行车加速前行;还可以只用单腿骑行,是独腿残疾人骑自行车的福音。

左右飞轮齿轮分别安装在车轮后轴的两端,齿杆的后端有圆形齿条,左右齿杆通过固定在大叉梁上的齿杆轴承定位,左右齿杆的圆形齿条分别与左右飞轮齿轮通过齿轮啮合传动,齿杆限位杆固定在车架大梁的下方,用以限定左右齿杆向下行程的最低位,左、右复位弹簧使左右齿杆自动复位。
