【技术领域】
本实用新型有关一种电连接器,尤其涉及一种电连接器的端子模组的结构。
【背景技术】
美国专利商标局于2001年10月9日公告的第6,299,483号专利揭示了一种电连接器,该电连接器包括重叠设置的若干端子模组,各端子模组均包括一侧设有若干开槽的绝缘件及安装到开槽内的若干端子。各端子均设有与一对接电连接器的端子对接的两接触臂。该两接触臂均包括向彼此延伸的夹紧部、及自该夹紧部远离彼此延伸的限位部。所述绝缘件设有收容各接触臂的限位部的收容空间,各收容空间均设有可防止限位部翘出的抵挡部。限位部需沿倾斜绝缘件一定的角度插入收容空间内。待该限位部插入收容空间后,方可将端子装入绝缘件的开槽内。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型所要解决的技术问题是:提供一种具有能够将端子方便地装入绝缘件的端子模组的电连接器。
为解决上述技术问题,本实用新型提供一种电连接器,其包括重叠设置的若干端子模组,各端子模组均包括绝缘件及安装于绝缘件的若干端子,该绝缘件设有与一对接电连接器对接的对接面及垂直对接面的安装面,该绝缘件自安装面凹设有若干开槽,所述若干端子收容于该等开槽内,该等端子均设有平行于安装面同向并列延伸的两接触臂,该两接触臂可夹持一对接电连接器的端子,该两接触臂的延伸末端设有限位部,所述绝缘件设有收容各限位部的收容空间、以及设置在该收容空间且靠近所述安装面的抵挡部,该抵挡部可防止限位部翘出所述收容空间,所述抵挡部设有自所述安装面贯穿至收容空间的开口,各端子的两接触臂被一治具撑开一定距离后,该两接触臂的限位部可垂直安装面通过所述开口进入收容空间。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型具有如下有益效果:端子模组的绝缘件在其抵挡部设有开口,使得端子的两接触臂被治具撑开一定距离后,该两接触臂的限位部可垂直安装面通过开口进入收容空间。从而可直接将端子垂直安装面安装至绝缘件,节约了端子装入的时间,使得端子模组的组装方便。

【具体实施方式】
图1至图5揭示了符合本实用新型的电连接器100。请参阅图1至图2,电连接器100与对接电连接器300相对接,该电连接器100设有重叠设置的若干端子模组10以及将该等端子模组10组合在一起的外壳30。
请参阅图3至图5,端子模组10均包括绝缘件11、安装于绝缘件11的若干端子13、屏蔽片15、及绝缘盖体17。
绝缘件11大致为一方形板,其具有前、后端缘(未标示)及上、下端缘(未标示)。该绝缘件11在前端缘设有与对接电连接器30对接的对接面111、以及垂直对接面111的安装面112。该绝缘件11自安装面112凹设有收容所述端子13的若干开槽113,该等开槽113并列开设且平行绝缘件11的上、下端缘。该绝缘件11还设有若干收容空间114,该等收容空间114靠近绝缘件11的前端缘并且与开槽113贯通。该绝缘件11在各收容空间114设有靠近安装面112的抵挡部115。该抵挡部115设有自安装面112贯穿至收容空间114的开口116。该绝缘件11在各收容空间114设有预压部117,该预压部117设置在抵挡部115的下方。绝缘件11还设有贯穿对接面111的插入槽118,该插入槽118用以供对接电连接器300的端子(未标示)插入,该插入槽118位于两收容空间114之间并与开槽113贯通。绝缘件11设有与绝缘盖体17配合的若干定位柱119。
若干端子13各设有与对接电连接器300的端子对接的两接触臂131、安装在一电路板(未图示)上的接脚132、及连接接触臂131与接脚132的中间部133。两接触臂131平行于安装面112同向并列延伸,该两接触臂131可夹持连接对接电连接器300的端子。该两接触臂131的延伸末端设有限位部134,该限位部134收容于绝缘件11的收容空间114内。
将端子13安装到绝缘件11时,端子13的两接触臂131被一治具(未图示)撑开一定距离后,该两接触臂131的限位部134可垂直安装面112通过抵挡部115的开口116进入收容空间114。该限位部134装入收容空间114后,治具被移开,该限位部134抵压在预压部117上。当对接电连接器300的端子自插入槽118插入到两接触臂131之间时,收容空间114的抵挡部115可防止限位部134翘出收容空间114。端子13安装于绝缘件11后,各端子13的接脚132自绝缘件11的下端缘伸出,用以安装到电路板上。
屏蔽片15成型于绝缘件11内,该屏蔽片15大致为方片状,其设有自绝缘件11的下端缘沿伸出的接地脚151,该接地脚151与电路板上的接地线路连接。
绝缘盖体17在端子13安装到绝缘件11后罩覆在端子13的中间部133上。盖绝缘盖体17设有若干定位孔171,该等定位孔171与绝缘件11的若干定位柱119相配合。
端子模组10的绝缘件11在其抵挡部115设有开口116,使得端子13的两接触臂131被治具撑开一定距离后,该两接触臂131的限位部134可垂直安装面112通过开口116进入收容空间114。从而可直接将端子13垂直安装面112安装至绝缘件11,节约了端子13装入的时间,使得端子模组10的组装方便。

Claims (6)

1.一种电连接器,其包括重叠设置的若干端子模组,各端子模组均包括绝缘件及安装于绝缘件的若干端子,该绝缘件设有与一对接电连接器对接的对接面及垂直对接面的安装面,该绝缘件自安装面凹设有若干开槽,所述若干端子收容于该等开槽内,该等端子均设有平行于安装面同向并列延伸的两接触臂,该两接触臂可夹持对接电连接器的端子,该两接触臂的延伸末端设有限位部,所述绝缘件设有收容各限位部的收容空间、以及设置在该收容空间且靠近所述安装面的抵挡部,该抵挡部可防止限位部翘出所述收容空间,其特征在于:所述抵挡部设有自所述安装面贯穿至收容空间的开口,各端子的两接触臂被一治具撑开一定距离后,该两接触臂的限位部可垂直安装面通过所述开口进入收容空间。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述绝缘件在收容空间内还设有预压部,各端子的两接触臂的限位部进入收容空间后,所述治具被移开,限位部抵压在所述预压部上。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述绝缘件还设有自对接面开设的插入槽,该插入槽用以供对接电连接器的端子插入。
4.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:各端子还设有与电路板连接的接脚以及连接该接脚和所述两接触臂的中间部,所述接脚垂直所述接触臂的延伸方向安装至所述电路板。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述端子模组还包括一绝缘盖体,该绝缘盖体罩覆在所述端子的中间部上。
6.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:各端子模组还包括一屏蔽片,该屏蔽片成型于所述绝缘件内。
