Description

Applicator pad and correlation technique thereof
Technical field
The present invention relates to a kind of applicator pad, this applicator pad can be used for chemicals (chemicalcomposition) (for example glazing agent or polishing agent) is applied on the substrate surface.More particularly, the present invention relates to a kind of floor mop pad, this mop pads contains makes it be suitable for very much the chemicals such as glazing agent or polishing agent is applied to fiber combinations on the floor surface. In addition, the invention still further relates to floor polisher or similar formulations are applied to method on the base material.
Background technology
In order to make the surface have required performance, in a lot of situations, all be to be applied on the described surface with being coated with the application preparation. For example, in commercial building, educational institution, family and restaurant, all use floor polishing agent or glazing agent widely,, and improve its wearability so that the surface on floor has durability, toughness and glossiness. Some floor polisher is coated with spraying method; Other floor polisher is then with mop or similarly applicator or its certain combination are coated with. The coating of floor polisher is normally carried out by hand as follows: the liquid floor polisher is poured out from container, and with mop or painting device floor polisher is coated on the whole floor surface. For the bigger surface of area (the bigger surface of for example arriving seen in the business environment of those areas), work together by two people or many people usually and be coated with floor polisher.A kind of method is: workman is sprinkling upon floor polisher on the floor or is sprayed on the floor, and another workman follows thereafter the applicator of mop in tow or other type through wet floor polisher, so that described glazing agent evenly, entirely is distributed in floor surface. This coating operation is labor-intensive, and requires the floor protecting personnel that mop was repeatedly dragged floor surface usually, so that the floor area realization is complete, covering equably. For large-scale commercial building, also can take time and effort even on the floor, be coated with the such operation of one deck glazing agent.
People have used multiple different mop or applicator that floor polisher is applied on the floor surface.People often use the applicator that has the plane formula mop head of being made by microfibre, because this applicator often can be smooth with floor polisher, be uniformly applied on the floor, and can on floor polisher, not stay unfavorable streak or mop vestige.Yet, when this mop head when floor surface drags, show big resistance usually. The mop of the routine that the employing microfibre is made tends to mat, therefore, when it is drenched by (for example) water, floor polisher or cleaning solution, resistance is increased. This big resistance means: use the workman of applicator must apply bigger power along floor pulling or promotion mop, this can make the task of coating floor polisher become more difficult and tiring usually.
Except the coating floor polisher, using applicator or apparatus for coating (for example application roll/pad, toilet paper handkerchief etc.) with the chemicals of other type or when being coated with the application preparation and being applied to hard surface, because the material that makes coating have optimum performance also has big resistance usually, so thrust or the excessive problem of pulling force also exist. Therefore, for applicator, exist a kind of like this demand: this applicator can form coating smooth, uniform chemicals with less relatively pulling force or thrust on substrate surface.
Summary of the invention
The invention is characterized in a kind of fabric, this fabric can be used for chemicals (for example floor polisher) is applied on the substrate surface (for example floor surface).Fabric of the present invention can be made of at least two kinds of different materials.First kind of material is to help to make fabric to have the supporting material of compression strength. This supporting material can be by formations such as (for example) rigid fiber or coarse denier fiber, sponge, nonwoven web, cellular material.Second kind of material is to be coated with the application material, this is coated with the application material and is made of adsorbent fibers or fine count fiber (for example microfibre) usually, these fibers are suitable for chemicals is applied to substrate surface, and are not had streak or brush mark, smooth and uniform coating substantially.
Generally speaking, provide described textile material with the form of applicator pad, this applicator pad has and is coated with the working face that the application preparation contacts with substrate surface. The consumption of supporting material in the applicator pad working face will depend on the required thrust or the size of pulling force, but, this consumption is generally less than 40%, be generally less than 30%, be more typically less than 20%, be generally most less than 10%, and the remaining part of this working face constitutes by being coated with the application material. What in some embodiments, the working face of applicator pad contained have an appointment 1% to about 50% supporting material and about 50% to about 99% is coated with the application material.More generally be that what the working face of applicator pad contained have an appointment 2% to about 10% supporting material and about 90% to about 98% is coated with the application material. The most normally be that what the working face of applicator pad contained have an appointment 5% to about 9% supporting material and about 91% to about 95% is coated with the application material.
On the other hand, the invention is characterized in a kind of applicator pad, in this applicator pad, supporting material is about 1: 1 to about 0.1: 10 with the ratio that is coated with the application material, is more typically about 1: 10 to about 0.2: 10.In one embodiment of the invention, supporting material contains polypropylene fibre and/or polyethylene fibre, is coated with the application material and contains polyester fiber.
In the embodiment that another can Gong select for use, supporting material is identical or similar material with being coated with the application material, for example is polypropylene, polyethylene or polyester. If (for example) with described fibre compact press together, then be coated with the application material supporting functions can be provided, thereby improve the compression strength of material.
The height of supporting material is basic identical or different with the height that is coated with the application material usually. Can and be coated with the application material with supporting material and be distributed on the entire working surface in any suitable manner, and the two mode with pattern (band that for example replaces or the row that replaces) can be distributed on the entire working surface.
Before, application rigid fiber or coarse denier fiber are applied to thing to be applied on the base material in the applicator system, and this relates to through regular meeting and produce unfavorable streak or brush mark in coating. One of advantage of the present invention is: described applicator pad contains the rigid fiber that combines with adsorptivity or absorbency fiber, makes the pulling force or the thrust that need apply reduce, and still can not had the smooth coating of streak or vestige simultaneously substantially.Shown in following embodiment part, more a spot of relatively supporting material is used in combination with being coated with the application material, can under the condition of not damaging the gained coating quality, the pulling force or the thrust that need apply shockingly significantly be descended.
The applicator pad of being made by fabric of the present invention can be coated with the used mop head of floor polisher as (for example). The alternate manner that can Gong select for use is, described applicator pad can be used for being coated with following any other used applicator system of application preparation that is coated with, the described application preparation that is coated with is: for example, and floor polisher, wax, coating, polishing agent, washing agent, disinfectant, cleaning agent, adhesive etc.

Describe in detail
(for example the invention is characterized in a kind of applicator pad, the plane formula mop head), with the conventional applicator pad that uses in the Mop structure Comparatively speaking, the former can be uniformly applied to floor polisher on the floor, only also shows simultaneously and need apply very low pulling force or thrust. The required pulling force that applies of applicator pad of the present invention or the characteristic that thrust obtains reducing are owing to causing in the fabric that supporting part is incorporated into applicator pad.
Referring now to Fig. 1, in one embodiment, applicator pad 2 has working face 4 and non-working surface 6. Working face 4 comprises at least two kinds of different materials: supporting material 8, and this material can be made of rigid fiber polypropylene and/or the polyethylene fibre of tufting (for example, through); And being coated with application material 10, this material can be made of microfibre (for example polyester microfiber).
With the pad that does not contain supporting material Comparatively speaking, applicator pad of the present invention contains pulling force or the thrust of supporting material to reduce to apply of capacity usually, but, the contained supporting material of applicator pad of the present invention is not many to the significantly reduced degree of the quality that makes coating, the content of described supporting material be generally less than the surface area of the working face of applicator pad about 50%, be more typically less than the surface area of the working face of applicator pad about 30%, be generally most less than about 10% of the surface area of the working face of applicator pad. What in one embodiment, the working face of applicator pad contained have an appointment 2% to about 10% supporting material (for example rigid fiber) and about 90% to about 98% is coated with application material (for example, adsorptivity or absorbability microfibre).
Shown in Fig. 2 a, the height of supporting material 8 can be higher than the height that is coated with application material 10. The alternate manner that can Gong select is, the height of supporting material can equal to be coated with the height of application material substantially, perhaps, even is coated with the application material and can has higher height (referring to Fig. 2 b); Yet if supporting material is too short, so that in coating process under the employed normal strength, this supporting material can not contact with base material, it is invalid that the supporting functions that this supporting material provides will become. In contrast, if the supporting fiber is too high, then being coated with the application material can not contact with floor surface, and this can make the coating quality impaired.
Can be with multiple different material as supporting material. Rigid fiber or coarse denier fiber are often used as the supporting part in the mop, collapse at substrate surface to prevent the application material that is coated with that preferably is made of fine count fiber, reduce thus pulling force or the thrust that need apply. Rigid fiber or coarse denier fiber can be monofilament, yarn, tow or consolidating fiber materials. Described consolidating fiber materials can be to be consolidated by adhesive, welding, winding or the known method of other prior art.
High bending stifiness and elastomeric rigid fiber or coarse denier fiber are especially suitable for use as supporting material. Usually, described rigid fiber or coarse denier fiber have low water absorbable, low compressibility and low flexible. Yet, can be not limited to filament fiber as the material of supporting material, but also can comprise reticulated, foamed material and other spongy material. The example that is used for the supporting material of applicator pad of the present invention comprises (but not being subject to) polypropylene fibre and/or polyethylene fibre.
Other supporting material that can Gong select comprises: such as non-woven material and the textile material such as scrim and yarn curtain of bulk non-woven material of describing in for example U.S. Patent No. 2,958,593 and the U.S. Patent No. 4,893,439 and so on.
The material that is suitable as supporting material comprises (but not being subject to): polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester, polyurethane (comprising modified polyurethane), polyamide (for example nylon), and composition thereof and composition.
Suitable supporting material generally include those can reduce adhesion friction power, easy to clean, bear dirty, can dyed in the mass and have a material of antibacterial and mouldproof.
The suitable application material that is coated with comprises that those can form smooth coating and can not stay undesirable streak or the material of brush mark. The fiber of high-absorbable or adsorptivity or microfibre are especially suitable for use as and are coated with the application material. Yet as supporting material, being coated with the application material can be made of other material (such as reticulated, foamed material, other spongy material, plastics etc.) beyond the filament fiber. The exemplary application material that is coated with comprises (but not being subject to): polyester fiber, artificial silk, cotton, hair, polyolefin, polyamide (for example nylon) and combination thereof.
Usually, supporting material is distributed on the whole working face of applicator pad of the present invention. Evenly distribution of supporting material, random distribution or with the formal distribution of pattern. In one embodiment, supporting material is arranged in the ribbon pattern and (for example, as shown in Figure 1), thereby makes applicator pad have supporting material and be coated with row or the band that the application material replaces. The alternate manner that can Gong select is supporting material to be arranged in other pattern (for example, chequer, wave pattern, circular pattern or argyle design etc.).
Can according to used material, adopt any known fabric technology of preparing to make applicator pad of the present invention. Can adopt such as circular knit method, method of weaving and tufting etc. and produce applicator pad of the present invention.
In certain embodiments, for example, by a kind of like this zone is set at working face: in this zone, be coated with the application material and fully closely pushed, thereby supporting functions can be provided, and then supporting material can be and the fiber/material that is coated with application material same type. In these embodiments, closely the zone of fiber of extruding usually account for fabric or applicator working face about 1% to about 5%, more generally account for fabric or applicator working face about 2% to about 10%. In other embodiments, supporting material be coated with the application material can contain same type, be configured to have fiber or the chemical composition of different mechanical/physical properties. For example, supporting material can be following material with being coated with the application material: the same type of material that weave is different; Or dawn number or the different same type of material of density; Or with cold coating or the similar same type of material processed of handled thing, described processing is given supporting material and is different from the performance that is coated with the application material.
In some embodiments, may it is desirable to: supporting material is coloured to the color different from being coated with the application material, to distinguish and to be easy to distinguish.
Can in cloth coating applicator pad behind the employed fabric, carry out overseam or stitching. Finished edge helps to prevent fabric abrasion by this way, and keeps the shape of applicator pad. Finished edge by the following method: for example, will be added to the sheet material of adhesive on the non-working surface of fabric, and then, the edge of sheet material and fabric is encased (or coating) and sew up with cloth, thereby form edge after the finishing.
In an embodiment shown in Figure 3, applicator pad of the present invention is plane formula mop head 30, and mop head 30 links to each other with mop handle 32 through support 34, and support 34 links to each other with an end of mop handle 32 by hinge 36. Hinge so that the support 34 of mop head can lean forward and hypsokinesis, and can dextrorotation and left-handed. Can make mop head 30 become removable or forever link to each other with support 34 by any suitable device. For example, the band (for example, the bands such as SCOTCHMATE, VELCO) of shackle-type can be covered the bottom of support 34, and the coupling face of the band of shackle-type be covered the top (being non-working surface) of mop head 30. Thus, can easily mop head 30 and mop head support 34 be linked together or take apart. Alternate manner comprises connector, machanical fastener etc.
Further point out objects and advantages of the present invention by following embodiment, following embodiment only is exemplary, and never is to limit the scope of the invention.
