Abstract

移动通信系统(400)在多个服务小区中提供通信服务。在紧急情况发生时,移动通信系统决定哪一个服务小区受到紧急情况(402)的影响,并且在受影响的小区里开始广播紧急情况通知消息。仅允许在受影响的小区里的移动通信设备传送状态消息,以通知其他用户其状态,或者如果该用户是紧急情况用户,紧急情况用户会接收常规的通信服务。在紧急情况下,会忽略所有其他的通信服务要求。

技术领域
本发明通常地涉及移动无线通信,本发明更特别地涉及在紧急情况下操作移动通信设备以降低系统负担,同时使用户能力最大以使其他用户知道其状态。
背景技术
移动通信设备被广泛应用而且已经在城市区域变得尤为普遍。最初这些设备支持移动无线电话服务,允许用户既可以在没有陆上线路电话的情况下通信,又可以在进行电话呼叫时移动。然而,最近,这些设备已经得到发展,以支持通信和个人服务的广泛多样性。现在出售的绝大多数移动通信设备包含用于发送和接收数据和数据消息的网络接口。参与数据通信的能力已经使移动通信设备变成个人通信助理,允许在移动通信设备上使用广泛多样性的应用程序,包括用于便携应用环境下的应用程序,例如Java。
移动通信的进步已经使社会变得更加移动,并且许多人依靠移动通信设备,不仅仅与生意伙伴,也与朋友和家人保持联系。通信系统经营者趋向于建立通信系统,以使系统使用最大,但是还要提供足够的资源以应对增长的需求的周期。然而,在人口稠密的地区紧急情况有时会发生。在紧急情况期间,处于受影响的区域中的通信系统资源迅速达到容量,并且让很多用户无法获得使其他用户知道其状态的通信服务。此外,忙于处理紧急情况的工作人员也因为繁重的通信量而无法使用通信系统。因此,需要操作通信设备和通信系统的方法,其允许用户报告其状态,而不允许用户占用系统资源并且允许其他用户获得通信服务。

发明内容
尽管说明书总结了由权利要求所定义的被认作是新颖的本发明的特点,可以相信,考虑到下列结合附图的说明,本发明会更好的被理解,附图中相同的参考数字延续使用。
本发明通过警告用户紧急情况并且限制常规的移动通信操作,解决超载移动通信服务区域的问题。取而代之的是,只允许受影响区域中的用户发送短的状态消息。通过限制常规的操作并且仅允许发送短消息,更多的用户可以至少通知其他用户他们是安全的,或者他们没有受到引起紧急情况的事件的严重影响。当常规的用户被约束于紧急情况模式时,本发明也允许特定的用户,比如紧急情况工作人员,在受影响的位置具有常规的操作。
现在参考图1,图中所示的是根据本发明的移动通信系统100的系统图。移动通信系统通过移动通信设备,例如移动通信设备102,协助移动通信。移动通信设备经由空中接口106与基站104通信。基站在其附近建立服务区域或者小区,并且向服务区域内的移动通信设备提供通信服务。
尽管说明并描述了本发明的优选实施例,应明确本发明不因此被限制。对于本领域技术人员而言可以有各种改进、变化、变形、替换和等同,而不背离如所附权利要求所限定的本发明的精神和范围。

Claims (10)

1.一种在紧急状况期间操作移动通信设备的方法,包括:
在移动通信设备上接收来自通信系统的紧急消息;
响应于接收紧急消息,将移动通信设备从常规操作模式转换成紧急操作模式;以及
当在紧急操作模式下时,只允许从移动通信设备发送积极的状态消息。
2.如权利要求1所述的操作移动通信设备的方法,进一步包括响应于接收紧急消息,警告移动通信设备的用户。
3.如权利要求2所述的操作移动通信设备的方法,其中警告用户包括提供可视的警告。
4.如权利要求3所述的操作移动通信设备的方法,其中提供可视的警告包括照亮移动通信设备的状态响应按钮。
5.如权利要求3所述的操作移动通信设备的方法,其中提供可视的警告包括在移动通信设备的显示器上显示图标。
6.如权利要求2所述的操作移动通信设备的方法,其中警告用户包括提供可听的警告。
7.如权利要求2所述的操作移动通信设备的方法,其中警告用户包括提供触觉的警告。
8.如权利要求2所述的操作移动通信设备的方法,其中提供触觉的警告包括启动移动通信设备的机械振动器。
9.如权利要求1所述的操作移动通信设备的方法,其中接收紧急消息包括在广播控制信道中接收由通信系统传发送的紧急消息。
10.如权利要求1所述的操作移动通信设备的方法,其中只允许发送积极的状态消息包括响应于状态响应按钮的启动而发送积极的状态消息。
