甲烷运输船
技术领域
本发明涉及甲烷运输船,该船包括至少一个隔热的储存容器,用于在低温并接近大气压的压力下存储液态气体。
背景技术
现有的甲烷运输船使用自然蒸发的气体向蒸汽发生器锅炉供料,并且在汽轮机中使蒸汽膨胀,通过齿轮箱驱动螺旋桨,从而提供推进力。
可以设想通过这样的装置来推进,即通过燃烧来自储存容器(tank)中的气体的内燃机或燃气轮机驱动交流发电机,来将电能提供给电动机,从而通过这种方式实现推进。
为了保证用电装置连续正常运转,气体必须不间断地提供给发动机或透平机,而无论船的储存容器中的气体的液面高度如何。
当船的储存容器装满时不会有任何问题,但当船舶卸掉其货物后,有必要设想储存容器底部剩下刚好充足的液态气体,从而用于返程,这样正好足够的液态气体就产生因为船舶俯仰和左右的摇摆引起的泵送液态气体的问题。
一种解决方法是在储存容器的低温隔热层中使用储液槽,但为了在储液槽下面保持需要的隔热层的最小厚度,在储存容器的整个底部需要增加隔热层的厚度,这个增加的厚度等于储液槽的深度。这种类型的解决方法是昂贵的,并且相应减小了可运输的货物的容积。
发明内容
本发明的目的是解决上述问题,并且因此使甲烷运输船上能配备发电装置,来满足船上的用电需要,包括推进力,该发电装置以交流发电机为基础,该交流发电机由被供给船上运输的气体的内燃机或燃气轮机来驱动。
这样,本发明提供了甲烷运输船,该船包括用于在低温并接近大气压的压力下存储液态气体的具有隔热层的储存容器,其特征在于包括内燃机或燃气轮机,通过储存容器底部的泵,并且经过将泵送的液态气体转换成气态的单元,将来自所述储存容器中的气体提供给内燃机或燃气轮机,所述泵由装有单向阀的搜集罩(capture enclosure)包围。

图1用图解显示了发电装置,它满足了运输液态气体船舶的总的用电功耗和推进的需要,这样的液态气体运输船舶可以是甲烷运输船。
船舶的储存容器(tank)1配备隔热层2,并且在-163℃的温度,和与外界大气压实际上相同的压力下,在储存容器1中装载液态甲烷3。
储存容器底部的泵4通过单元6输送液态气体,其中单元6包括蒸发器和压缩器(compressor),将适当压力下的气体输送给内燃机5。发动机5可以由燃气轮机代替。
每台发动机5驱动一台交流发电机7,交流发电机7的输出线10提供船舶需要的电力。交流发电机连接到变频器8上,变频器8的输出驱动推进电机9。
图2、3和4显示了来自于图1的相同的细节部分II,即泵4,但显示泵4处在不同的操作状态下。
图中显示了离心泵4和搜集罩11,搜集罩11包围泵,并且包括单向阀12,例如4个单向阀12。
搜集罩11为大致钟形,具有侧壁13和大致碟形的底14。阀布置在“碟”的边缘上,泵从其中心抽入液体。在侧壁13的顶部有通气孔15。
泵在储存容器的中心。
因此,即使储存容器几乎是空的,并且船俯仰和左右摇摆,泵的入口也总是浸泡着。
图2显示了从左向右行进的波浪的冲击,罩11外的液面高度水平刚好高于罩内的液面高度水平,这样促使阀12打开向罩11内填充,通气孔15允许气体释放出来。在图3中,船在浪峰处,填充过程继续,而在图4中,波浪已经降低,外部液态气体的高度水平一落到搜集罩13内的高度水平以下,阀12就关闭(忽略阀的水头损失,水头损失会非常小)。
将泵放置在储存容器中间意味着船移动时泵经常浸泡着,从而搜集罩13内总是具有液态气体,并且泵4总是使它的入口16浸泡着。
设备的尺寸是这样的,使得对于足以防止泵在两个接连的浪之间的无液态气体的空转(depriming)的罩中的最低高度水平,搜集罩中存储的液态气体的容量总是充足的。

Claims (2)

1.甲烷运输船,包括具有隔热层(2)的储存容器(1),储存容器(1)用于在低温并接近大气压的压力下存储液态气体(3),特征在于包括内燃机或燃气轮机(5),通过储存容器底部的泵(4),并且经过将泵送的液态气体转换成气态的单元(6),来自所述储存容器(1)中的气体被提供给内燃机或燃气轮机(5),所述泵由装有单向阀(12)的搜集罩(13)包围。
2.根据权利要求1的运输船,特征在于所述搜集罩为大致钟形,具有侧壁(13)和碟形的底(14),侧壁(13)带有穿过其顶部的通气孔(15),泵(4)的入口在碟的中心,并且阀(12)布置在它的边缘上。
