Abstract

本发明公开了一种电连接器,适于安装在一印刷电路板上,该印刷电路板具有至少一对安装孔,连接器具有一绝缘本体,该绝缘本体上形成有一长形狭槽,且狭槽之内壁上设有若干端子收容槽。从该绝缘本体向外延伸一对凸缘部,一对导柱从该凸缘部向下延伸,每一导柱包括一对相互隔开一间隙的安装臂,其间有一缝隙,每一安装臂的末端分别向缝隙空间凸出一凸块,且每一安装臂各具有倒角末端以引导安装臂插入印刷电路板上的安装孔。

Description

电连接器
本发明是关于一种电连接器,特别是指一种具有具有压入配合装置的导柱,能够稳固地固定至印刷电路板的电连接器。
为将电连接器稳固地设置到一印刷电路板上以进行下一步的焊接作业,在连接器绝缘本体上必须提供固定装置及导柱。固定装置通常由金属片制成,以稳固地配合于孔内壁或孔的底缘,从而使连接器得以稳固结合于印刷电路板上以便焊接。
一般来说,导柱是与连接器绝缘本体一体成型,用来引导端子焊脚插入电路板上的相应安装孔内。由于导柱与固定装置通常是分开设置,造成同一连接器上需要组装较多的额外构件,不但增加了制造工序,且需要更多的生产设备,而且也导致制程延长和复杂化。
本发明的目的在于提供一种设有导柱的电连接器,其导柱具有一体式压入配合装置,能够将一连接器稳固地安装于印刷电路板。
本发明的目的是这样实现的:电连接器适合于安装在具有至少一对安装孔的印刷电路板上,其具有一绝缘本体,该绝缘本体上形成有一长形狭槽,且狭槽的内壁上设有若干端子收容槽,而从该绝缘本体向外延伸一对凸缘部,一对导柱从该凸缘部向下延伸,该对导柱具有压入配合装置,包括一对相互隔开特定距离的安装臂,两安装臂之间具有一缝隙,每一安装臂的末端分别向缝隙内凸出一凸块,且每一安装臂各具有倒角末端而将安装臂引导插入印刷电路板上的安装孔。
采用上述技术方案,电连接器不需要额外设置固定装置即可通过其导柱的压入配合装置而稳固地安装于印刷电路板,有利于减少电连接器的构件,节约成本并提高效率。
下面结合附图和实施例对本发明作进一步说明。
图1是本发明电连接器的立体图。
图2是本发明电连接器的导柱的局部放大立体图。
图3是图2所示导柱的侧面图。
图4是显示导柱固定于印刷电路板的孔中的局部剖视图。
请参照图1,依据本发明实施的电连接器1包括一绝缘本体10,绝缘本体10上形成有一纵长狭槽12,狭槽12的内壁12a上设有若干端子收容槽13,每一端子收容槽13可收容一端子(图中未示)。
一对凸缘部11由绝缘本体10向外延伸。一对导柱14由凸缘11向下延伸,每一导柱14包括一对相互隔开的安装臂15,其间有一缝隙16,且每一安装臂15有一倒角末端15a以引导安装臂15插入印刷电路板20上的安装孔21。
安装臂15的第一外径比印刷电路板20的孔21的直径大,而上述倒角末端15a的第二外径则比印刷电路板20的孔21的直径小。
当倒角末端15a插入上述印刷电路板的孔21内时,安装臂15的外壁15b将会抵靠孔21的上边缘21a且偏转,当安装臂15继续向孔21内移动时,安装臂15的外壁15b将紧紧地抵靠住孔21的内壁21b,因为设有缝隙16,安装臂15具有较佳弹性而可产生适当变形。
为增加安装臂15的外壁15b与孔21的内壁21b的摩擦接触,每一安装臂15进一步包括一凸块15c,其与另一安装臂15的相应凸块15c为彼此相对地设置,该两凸块15c在安装臂15插入孔21一半时互相抵靠。
通过上述设置,导柱14也能在连接器安装至印刷电路板时充当锁扣装置,以提供牢固可靠的连接功效。

Claims (5)

1.一种电连接器,适合于安装在具有至少一对安装孔的印刷电路板上,其包括一绝缘本体,该绝缘本体上形成有一长形狭槽,且狭槽的内壁上设有若干端子收容槽,而从该绝缘本体向外延伸一对凸缘部,一对导柱从该凸缘部向下延伸,其特征在于:该对导柱具有压入配合装置,其包括一对相互隔开特定距离的安装臂,两安装臂之间具有一缝隙,每一安装臂的末端分别向缝隙内凸出一凸块,且每一安装臂各具有倒角末端而将安装臂引导插入印刷电路板上的安装孔。
2.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:由安装臂共同界定的第一外径较印刷电路板上的孔径大,而由上述倒角末端界定的第二外径则较印刷电路板上的孔径小。
3.根据权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:上述倒角末端在进入印刷电路板上的安装孔时被相向推压。
4.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:每一上述安装臂还包括彼此相对设置的凸块。
5.根据权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:上述凸块可互相抵靠以限制安装臂的偏斜且增加安装臂与安装孔之间的摩擦接触。
