具有状态指示器的遥控装置
技术领域
本申请涉及一种用于控制交互式电视装置的遥控装置,特别涉及一种带有进程/状态指示器的遥控装置。
背景技术
使用家庭电视接收机访问互联网或者其它数据源已经变得越来越普及了。现在家庭电视能够执行多种功能,如连接网络电视(WebTV)来访问互联网,连接到Tivo个人视频记录机上来下载节目指南或真正地变成一个双向通讯的交互式电视。数字式电视和交互式电视将这些新功能带给电视使用者并且使家庭观众能够使用他们的家庭电视下载多种形式的数据或者能够进行电子商务交易等等。
多功能电视的问题之一就是当房间中其他人要看电视节目时,另外一人要用网络电视下载他喜欢的MP3文件。下载处理过程的耗时往往取决于连接的带宽和文件的大小,且它还干扰观看电视节目。当开始下载后,使用者必须在看电视与检查屏幕上的下载状态指示器的下载状态之间来回切换。此来回切换妨碍了其他人收看电视节目。即使使用者在观看占据屏幕的主要部分的电视节目时,通过将网络电视互联网地址放在电视屏幕的画中画(picture-in-picture)部分来监控下载状态的情况下,房间中的其他人在看电视时还是会受到他们不感兴趣的画中画显示画面的影响。同样地,即使是交互式电视,屏幕上的下载显示也会占据屏幕的有效面积。
当网页或其它资料正在被下载到存储器中或者尝试接入互联网时,会出现“下载期间”。在这个时间内看一下其它的电视节目并且在下载完毕时得到报告就非常好了。
而且与电子商务相关的电子钱包也变得很普及了。电子钱包中可用的金额可以被随时获得。
发明内容
因此,本发明的一个目的是提供一种在遥控装置上的进程/状态指示器。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种在遥控装置上的用于指示下载完成百分比的下载状态指示器。
本发明的又一个目的是提供一种不用占据屏幕的任何有效面积的下载指示器。
本发明的又一个目的是即使关掉电视或转到另一个频道,使用者也能够监控下载处理的进程。
本发明的再一个目的是提供一种遥控装置上的指示电子钱包的状态,例如它是满的或是空的的指示器。
本发明还有一个目的是将电子钱包储存到具有状态指示器的遥控装置中。
本发明的其它目的和优点将在说明书中明显地看出。
下面将详细描述具有本发明中结构特征,各元件的结合以及各部分之间的安装的装置,且在权利要求书中对本发明的范围进行限定。

最佳实施例描述
图1示出了一个根据本发明最佳实施例的遥控装置10。此遥控装置具有典型的音量增加/减少和频道上下的功能,以及其它一些用于访问数据源的附加功能,例如一个跟踪球和Yes与No的按钮。遥控器可利用红外线或电磁通讯介质的其它方式与消费者电子装置如电视相互作用。该遥控装置也能够接收使用诸如蓝牙、无线服务、无线以太网等等技术的消费者电子装置输出的红外线或者其它形式的电磁信号。该控制装置10还包括一个状态指示器,该指示器为纵向长条形。这个进程/状态指示器用于指示多种操作的进程或者状态,例如下载文件或网页完成的百分比、电子钱包中剩余金额的数量等等。此状态指示可以采取多种形式来显示数字或图像,例如LED板、或LCD显示器等等。
图2示出了本发明优选实施例的方框示意图。电视或者顶置盒或者其它消费者电子装置20与一个信息源22或23相连。信息源22经由电缆、ISDN、电话线等被访问,它包括互联网、交互式电视数据服务等。也可以使用其它信息源,它们多是本地存储器装置,例如MP3播放器或者PC23。一个遥控装置25用于控制电视20。电视20可以与遥控装置相通信。电视20和遥控装置25之间的通讯连接可以采用多种形式的,例如红外线、蓝牙等。遥控装置25包括一个用于指示下载处理状态的状态指示器27。在此实施例中,状态指示器是LED板形式。
图3示出本发明的流程图。电视或者机顶盒等20包括一个下载处理单元30和一个红外处理单元32。下载处理单元30访问信息源23,并检测文件大小且根据电视20和信息源23之间的传输连接计算下载的大约时间。或者,下载处理单元可以利用文件的大小,通过从全部文件大小中减去接收到的数据量,计算下载处理完成的百分比,从而确定完成百分比指示器或下载状态指示器。
然后,红外处理单元32启动与遥控装置25的红外连接34并且发送指示下载处理36、38的完成百分比的红外编码。然后LED板被点亮,从而利用一些方法指示完成百分比40。指示器可以是一个如图2中所示的纵向长条形状态指示器,它也可以是一个数字指示器,例如“89%”。
应当指出的是遥控装置包括任何可以向本地装置,如典型的电视或电子消费品遥控装置,鼠标,键盘等中的另一装置,发送控制命令的装置。
本发明的另一个实施例中,状态指示器27用于指示电子钱包可用存款的情况。电子钱包是一个软件应用程序或自动服务程序,它通过允许消费者存储订单、发货和付款的信息并且利用这些信息自动完成网络贸易的定单,从而帮助消费者进行在线贸易。电子钱包根据现实世界的等价物命名,它计划给消费者的个人信息和支付机构提供一种方便的和无处不在的存储空间。这大大地简化了在线电子交易的处理和消费者的整体在线时间。
下面描述使用电子钱包的本发明的实施例的一个具体示例。遥控装置25本身可以表示一种经由电视20仅可使用有限的金额购买东西的电子钱包。遥控装置同样也可以相似于例如电话卡和预付煤气表的预付装置。状态指示器27指示可用于支付的金额的数量或百分数。
同样地,一个预付电子钱包可以在通过消费者电子装置20很容易访问的远程服务器上使用。这时,可用的金额就可通过双向红外通讯被发射给遥控装置27。
遥控装置还可以包括一个可听或可视的报警器(或者是一个简单的LED),该报警器指示下载处理的完成情况和此时电子钱包的情况,指示电子钱包中的所存金额下降到低于一定数目(使用者可以调节)。另外,状态指示器可以被个性化,例如一个不同颜色或样式的状态指示器(尤其是在使用相同的遥控装置的电子钱包(妈妈的、爸爸的、孩子的)的情况下)。
由此可见,上面制定的目标在前面的描述中都可以实现,并且在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下,可以在实现上述结构时做一些特定的改变,且在上述描述和附图中的所有情况将不局限于一种理解。

Claims (14)

1、一种用于控制消费者电子装置的遥控装置包括:
发射器(25),用于将电磁信号发射给消费者电子装置(20),从而使消费者电子装置下载信息到消费者电子装置;
接收器(34),用于从指示下载处理状态的消费者电子装置接收电磁信号;和
进程/状态指示器(27),用于指示下载处理的状态,
其中当下载正在进行时,所述指示器用于指示所述状态。
2、根据权利要求1的遥控装置,其中进程/状态指示器是指示下载处理完成百分比情况的条(27)。
3、根据权利要求1或2的遥控装置,其中进程/状态指示器包括用于指示下载处理完成百分比情况的字母字符。
4、根据权利要求1或2的遥控装置,还包括用于指示下载处理的完成情况的报警器。
5、根据权利要求1或2的遥控装置,还包括可个性化进程/状态指示器的个性化部件。
6、一种用于观看电视节目和访问数据源的交互式电视系统,包括:
用于访问数据源的装置(20),该装置包括用于发射进程/状态信息的发射器;
遥控装置(25),用于控制交互式电视系统并且用于接收进程/状态信息,遥控装置包括用于在遥控装置上显示从上述装置接受到的进程/状态信息的状态显示器(27),
其中当下载正在进行时,所述指示器用于指示所述状态。
7、根据权利要求6的交互式电视系统,还包括在遥控装置上的报警器部件,此报警器部件指示涉及数据源的下载处理的结束。
8、一种用于控制消费者电子装置的遥控装置,包括:
双向式通信部件;和
状态指示器(27),用于指示电子钱包的状态,
其中当下载正在进行时,所述指示器用于指示所述状态。
9、根据权利要求8的遥控装置,其中电子钱包被局部地存储在遥控装置中。
10、根据权利要求8的遥控装置,还包括用于当电子钱包中的存款已经达到一个确定数量时起指示功能的报警器。
11、根据权利要求8的遥控装置,其中电子钱包被存储于装置(20)中,此装置直接与遥控装置通信。
12、一种信息存储器访问装置,包括:
遥控装置(25);
发射器(32),用于与遥控装置进行通信;
位于遥控装置上的进程/状态指示器(27),指示下载处理的状态。
13、一种用于与计算机通信的鼠标,包括:
用于发射信号给计算机的发射器;
用于接收从计算机来的信号的接收器;
用于指示下载处理的状态的进程/状态指示器,
其中当下载正在进行时,所述指示器(27)用于指示所述状态。
14、根据权利要求13的鼠标,其中进程/状态指示器指示电子钱包的状态。
