Abstract

Description
本发明涉及线极化或园极化系统中的天线馈线。特别地,但不是唯一的,本发明涉及适于工作在S波段频率(大约2到3GHz范围)和Ku波段频率(大约12GHz)线极化系统中的双极化天线馈线。
常规上,对于工作在S-波段频率的系统,使用喇叭天线馈线作为双极化偏置抛物面天线馈线。但是,可以使用介质透镜天线馈线而不使用喇叭天线馈线,因为在S-波段上喇叭天线馈线相对较大。图1显示了典型的现有技术介质透镜天线,图2显示了对应的42.5°半波束宽度10db的合成辐射波束方向图。图3显示了典型的现有技术皱纹喇叭天线馈线,图4显示了对应的合成辐射方向图。图4所示的波纹馈线有35°半波束宽度10db。图3所示的喇叭馈线显示了具有固定馈线角的完整的圆波纹,其形成了图4的波束方向图。
介质透镜天线馈线的优点是它们的结构比喇叭天线馈线小,但提供了类似的电气性能。
介质透镜基本上由塑料模具处理制成的固体塑料材料制成,但是,这种做法出现了生产问题,因为铸模透镜的外部比内部冷却的快,在塑料材料完全成型之前过早从模具中取出来导致透镜结构上的不连续,例如,出现空洞,其在天线馈线中降低了透镜的性能。长时间等待塑料材料成型降低了生产量,并增加了每单位材料的成本。这个问题在尺寸相当大的低频透镜中是很严重的。
本发明的目的是提供一种至少消除或减轻上述缺点之一的天线馈线。
按照本发明的第一方面,使用在系统中的天线馈线接收正交线性或圆极化信号,天线馈线包括耦合波导外壳的天线馈线体。
为接收极化的信号,馈线体确定了中心轴,并具有从中心轴向外辐射延伸的间隔臂。
根据本发明可以生产出减轻重量的天线馈线。因为所需要的透镜介质材料较少,所以生产过程比常规生产介质透镜馈线的成本低。此外,因为材料的体积较小,所以透镜的中部冷却较快,因此,使不连续变得最小,并改善了透镜的质量。因为减少了冷却时间,所以增加了透镜的生产量。
天线馈线是介质透镜,馈线体一般是十字的横截面,并包括与中心轴同轴的中心介质芯,十字的外围间隔介质臂布置在芯的周围。介质臂可由空气隙隔离开或由另一种介质材料隔离开。中心芯和臂最好通过模具或机械制成单个单元,因此,在臂和中心芯之间没有接缝。中心芯可由分开的段制成,然后再连接在一起。
天线馈线是十字馈线,间隔臂是波纹状辐射延伸部分的形式,每一个部分以间隔平行关系从那里延伸的脊峰。
馈线体和装透镜或十字馈线的外壳可以模压或浇铸成整体。这可以减少重量和成本。通过改变天线馈线的馈线角度,通过调节a)波纹的高度,b)波纹之间的间隔,c)沿z轴波纹的位置,可以调节天线馈线接收不同波束形状的极化信号。
本领域技术人员知道,参考此处的内容和下面的描述,十字天线馈线的馈线角将是波导外壳的中心轴和确定连接每一个十字臂脊峰的表面的平面之间确定的角度。
按照本发明的第二方面,提供了使用在系统中用于接收正交线性或圆极化信号的天线馈线,该天线馈线包括耦合波导外壳的天线馈线体,为接收极化的信号,该馈线体确定了中心轴,并具有多个在各自的半径上从中心轴向外辐射延伸的间隔臂部分,每一个臂部分是波纹状的,并至少有一个与它各自半径横切地排列。

首先,参考图5、5a、5b和图6,图5显示了本发明实施例用于大约2.5GHz的S波段的介质透镜天线馈线10。馈线10是介质透镜天线馈线,其包括圆筒金属管形式的波导外壳12;由聚丙烯制成的介质馈电体14耦合到并部分放置在外壳12前部内。馈线10沿辐射传播的方向确定了中心(纵向)轴(虚线16所示)。
如图5a、5b所示,馈线体14是开槽的锥形,并具有十字横界面(横向于纵向轴16)。馈线体14的长度大约是140毫米,馈线体最宽部分(靠近外壳12的部分)大约是85毫米。馈线体14有一与纵向轴16同轴的中心介质(聚丙烯)芯18。四个外围间隔的介质臂20(聚丙烯指状物的形式)配置在中心芯18的周围,并从中心轴16向外延伸辐射。芯18和指状物20模压为整体单元。如图5a、5b所示,相邻指状物20之间的间隔确定了开槽或空气隙21,其使得馈线体14具有开槽的外观。这确保了电场最大时,除去了最大量的材料。
馈线10由支架23连接到天线,以辐射反射器天线(图11)。如图5a、5b和图7a、7b所示,尽管馈线体14排列和设置了与天线的关系,以至指状物20排列成行从天线传导线性正交极化的信号,事实上,不需要与极化排列成十字形状,因为任何极化可以分解为与十字形状排列成行的两个正交分量。如果排列成行,可以通过旋转馈线体14和波导外壳12进行,以至指状物20的角度位置随纵向轴16变化。
在图5a中,线性正交极化信号由箭头标号SV和SH表示。这些信号是极化垂直的,并分别与水平轴平行。图5b显示了一般的情况,信号SV、SH是极化垂直的,并与角度平行(偏离水平轴)。分解的分量SV1、SV2、SH1、SH2以虚线显示了与指状物20排列成行。它们共同具有与水平轴偏置一角度极化的信号。
图6是图5天线馈线的辐射方向图。很明显,天线馈线10的44°半波束宽度10db的对称辐射波束方向图非常类似于图2所示的现有技术天线馈线的辐射方向图。两个辐射方向图的形状非常类似:两个方向图的主要差别是现有技术有40.6°半波束宽度10db;而馈线10有44°半波束宽度10db。
按照本发明另一个实施例,图7、7a、7b和图8显示了天线馈线30。馈线30是天线十字馈线,包括波导外壳12(圆筒金属管的形式)和耦合到波导外壳12前部的十字馈线体32。馈线体32也由金属制成,并有四个相互之间正交关系的外围间隔的波纹臂部分34。臂部分34沿着由馈电体32确定的纵向轴16向外辐射。
臂34中的波纹由从波导外壳12伸出的脊峰形成并与纵向轴16平行。在每一个臂部分34上的脊峰36由横切于纵向轴16的台阶38隔离。台阶38连接邻近的脊峰36。因此,在每一个臂部分34上的各自的脊峰36集中地排列在纵向轴的周围,并且,相互之间平行,最靠近波导外壳12的脊峰36最靠近纵向轴16,后面的脊峰36从纵向轴16连续排列,以给出脊峰36一个层叠的外观。当从前面观察时,如从图7a、7b沿纵向轴16所看到的一样,馈线30看起来象一个凹心的十字。通过改变馈线角,调节a)波纹的高度,b)波纹之间的间隔,c)沿z轴波纹的位置可以调节波束形状。
与图5实施例相同的方式,把馈线30放置在天线系统中(图11)辐射反射器天线(图11),馈线体32与有关的天线排列,以便线性地正交极化信号从天线传导。尽管臂部分34可与图5a所示的介质透镜排列成一行,对于十字型不需要与输入极化排列成一行,原因是一样的:极化的任何方向可以分解为与十字型臂部分34排列成一行的两个正交分量。如果必须排列成一行,通过旋转馈线体32和波导外壳12进行,以至臂部分34的角度位置随纵向轴16改变。
当臂部分34与从天线传导的线性正交极化信号排列成一行时,图8是图7天线馈电的辐射方向图。很明显,天线馈线30的辐射方向图类似于图3所示的现有技术天线馈线的辐射方向图。两个辐射方向图形状类似:两个方向图的主要差别是现有技术在11.7GHz上有35.0°半波束宽度10db;而馈线30在11.7GHz上有40.9°半波束宽度10db。
图9类似于图7,但是在十字型馈线中使用椭圆天线接收椭圆波束。这由在图9所示的水平和垂直平面中采用不同的馈线角θ、φ获得。各自的馈线角θ、φ是波导外壳12的中心轴16和连接每一个臂部分34的边缘17a确定的表面的平面之间的角度。选择脊峰17的位置和尺寸,以便a)给出必须的馈线角θ、φ,b)保持馈线的双极化平面形状。图10显示了频率是11.7GHz时,在垂直平面(V)具有34°半波束宽度10db和在水平面(H)具有46.5°半波束宽度10db的辐射方向图,平面V和H显示在图9中。减少一个或两个横界面可以减少脊峰的数量,以减小馈线的尺寸。再一次说明不要求输入极化与馈线的十字部分排列成一行。脊峰17可以与中心轴16平行,或在轴16上的中部形成椭圆形的部分。
图11是本发明另一实施例的天线系统示意图。图11显示了用于接收线性极化信号的位于抛物面反射器天线54的聚焦点上的低噪声模块(LNB)接收机52。LNB52有一馈线体14和耦合到馈线体14的波导外壳12。波导外壳12有两个探针,用于接收在波导外壳12中传输的线性极化信号的正交分量。波导外壳12也有一个电路板64,其中,电路板64与探针电联系,接收由探针拾取的信号。通过同轴耦合线68从LNB52传导信号。

对于上述实施例可以进行各种修改。例如,外壳和馈线体可以制作为单一单元。金属以外的材料可以用于外壳。在另一个实施例中,介质透镜馈线体可以使用其它材料而不使用聚丙烯,例如,其它塑料、陶瓷材料或石蜡。
本发明的其它修改包括用塑料材料铸造十字馈线,然后,用金属化层涂覆塑料材料的适当部分,提供如图7和图9所示的电等效的介质十字馈线。进一步的修改将在波纹中插入介质,以增加十字馈线的介质特性,其可以在接收一特定频率时使十字馈线的尺寸最小化。
在馈线耦合到常规的LNB之后,外加一个圆极化到线极化转换器,上述的介质透镜馈线和十字馈线也适用接收圆极化信号,在本领域中,圆极化到线极化转换器是众所周知的,并可以采用不同的形式。此外,所述实施例特别适用于偏置抛物面或主聚焦抛物面天线。
前面所述的技术可以应用到其它波导展开十字馈线,例如,圆锥形的十字馈线,以至从十字馈线除去一些材料,剩下类似于所示的十字型,用于介质透镜和波纹十字馈线。
前述本发明的实施例可以用于宽范围频率,包括S-波段、Ku-波段和其它各种频率。

耦合到天线馈线的波导外壳,波导外壳有配置的探针;以及
