Abstract

Description
本发明涉及用于提供多媒体流的方法,具体涉及用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流(要点)的方法,其能够提供反映用户偏好/非偏好的多媒体提要流。
近来,随着数字视频技术和图象或视频识别技术的发展,用户可以通过搜索或浏览整个流的特定段来容易地使用希望的信息。换句话说,通过再现视频流和容易地仅仅浏览视频流的希望部分或索引视频流的提要,用户已经能够有效地理解预定视频流的内容而无需察看整个视频流。
为此目的,已经进行了一种处理多媒体流的研究,以便在用户要求希望的多媒体流时描述具有整个多媒体流或多媒体流的段的基于内容的数据和搜索该基于内容的数据。基于内容的数据包括:关于节目的全部内容的信息,例如关于制片公司、导演、演员表的信息;和关于多媒体流中每个段的语义信息,例如关于整个多媒体流中对象或背景的出现/消失、事件的发生、和对象与事件之间的关系的信息。
当上述信息被存储在用于多媒体流的基于内容的数据区中时,用户通过取出该基于内容的数据可以选择性地搜索希望的流,或仅仅浏览多媒体流中的希望部分。
因此,如果存在一个用户请求,例如说:“仅显示其中有一个男演员出现在特写镜头中的场景”,那么采用一种根据基于内容的数据提供多媒体流的方法的装置将显示对应的段。这里,该基于内容的数据包含视听对象的出现,视听对象的状态,事件,背景,段信息。此外,段信息包含时间的开始和结束点,代表一个段的视听对象,一个段的文本描述,和一个段中显示的事件。
同时,在美国专利No.5,913,013中,通过使用一种设置暴力场景、裸露场景、男演员和/或女演员露出的部分的级别等等,以及设置段代码的方法来构建内容映象,并且用户能够容易地仅仅浏览希望的部分。
下面将对根据常规技术的提供多媒体流的方法进行详细说明。
图1表示根据常规技术的用于描述多媒体流的基于内容的数据的方法的例子,其中与段信息一起描述多个注释(注释1,注释2,…)。
此处,注释是指视听对象的出现,视听对象的状态,事件,背景,和段信息,Si(i=0,1,2,…)表示段。
但是,虽然上述基于内容的注释有助于用户容易地搜索希望的部分,但是该注释很难满足用户在很短时间内理解全部内容的需求。
为了解决上述问题,提出了一种用于在多级别段信息方案中描述多媒体流的算法。
图2表示多级别提要段信息方案和相应的多级别提要流,其中根据多媒体流的各段的级别重要性和多级别提要流(H0,H1,H2,…)描述了提要级别(0,1,2,…)。
此处,提要流(H0)由提要级别(0)的提要段组成,提要流(H1)由提要级别(0,1)的提要段组成,提要流(H2)由提要级别(0,1,2)的提要段组成。
多级别提要段信息方案通过对提要段给予重要性级别来在多级别中显示提要流。即,多级别提要段信息方案不是通过使用相对于多级别提要段的物理数据,而是通过使用提要段的段信息和重要性级别信息来描述每个提要段。
但是,常规方法是不便的,因为用户为了浏览用户希望的段或内容,必须使用基于内容的数据区或内容映射中描述的基于内容的数据,对每个滤波或搜索操作输入滤波条件或搜索条件。
为了减轻该不便,常规系统采用了一种方法,该方法通过根据用户的历史记录,多媒体流的内容映射等等组合用户概况信息,自动推荐用户喜欢的节目或仅仅提供用户可能想要的段。

但是,由于根据本发明的提供提要流的方法被设计为,以对于理解全部内容的重要性的顺序对各个段给予一个级别,而不考虑用户的各种爱好,所以不能提供反映用户偏好或性格的提要流。
同时,在同时使用多级别提要流信息和多媒体流的基于内容的数据时,有可能满足基于用户查询的对多媒体流的请求。但是,根据本发明的提供多媒体流的方法的不便之处在于,在需要输入提要的条件时,用户必须使用自然语言或其它接口来输入。
因此,本发明的目的是提供一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,其通过使用用户偏好信息和多媒体流的基于内容的数据,提供具有用户希望长度和反映用户偏好/非偏好的多媒体流。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,其通过使用用户偏好信息和多媒体流的多级别提要段信息方案,提供具有用户希望长度和反映用户偏好/非偏好的多媒体流。
为了实现上述目的,提供一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,其根据用户偏好信息动态地提供用户自适应的提要流,包括:按多媒体流的类别搜索具有用户偏好/非偏好级别的用户偏好信息;及使用搜索的用户偏好信息和多媒体流的基于内容的数据,根据用户偏好信息将关于多媒体流的多级别提要流信息重建为多级别提要流信息。
此外,根据本发明提供另一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,其包括以下各步骤:鉴别用户的提要流请求,读出请求提要流的用户的用户偏好信息;根据所读取的用户偏好信息重调整关于多级别提要流的信息的提要段的重要性级别;以及使用提要段的重调整的级别提供用户所请求长度的提要流。
此外,根据本发明提供另一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,其包括以下各步骤:设置多媒体流的用户偏好类别的偏好/非偏好级别;输入多媒体流的基于内容的数据;以及根据偏好/非偏好级别和多媒体流的基于内容的数据产生关于多媒体流的多级别提要流信息。

本发明涉及一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,其提供反映用户偏好/非偏好的多媒体流的提要流。该方法通过为用户偏好类别设置用户偏好信息(由偏好/非偏好级别和偏好类别描述的信息),自动地提供用户自适应的多级别提要流。
因此,下面将说明按用户偏好类别定义多媒体流的内容的偏好级别并根据偏好级别产生提要流的步骤,以便通过滤波提供用户希望的信息。

如上所述,在根据本发明的用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法中,当用户提供多媒体流的适当偏好信息并选择提要级别或提要流的数量时,读出请求提要流的用户的用户偏好信息,根据所读出的用户偏好信息重调整提要段的重要性级别,并提供使用重调整的提要段级别的具有用户请求长度的提要流。

因此,在根据本发明的用于提供多媒体流的方法中,例如,根据用户的各自偏好信息(其中用户A喜欢新闻和情景喜剧但不喜欢体育,用户B喜欢新闻和体育但不喜欢情景喜剧),可以推荐适当的节目并提供给每个用户。对于所推荐或提供的节目,通过有效地搜索或浏览该节目的提要流,可以向用户提供反映其偏好的多级别提要流。
此外,在根据本发明的用于提供多媒体的方法中,由于用户可以编辑通过从使用用户所用的多媒体流的信息(或历史信息)的先前学习产生的上述用户偏好信息和用户非偏好信息,因此可以向用户提供反映其偏好和非偏好并具有希望长度的多级别提要流,而无需输入额外的查询条件。
由于在不偏离本发明精神或本质特征的条件下可以以多种形式实现本发明,还应理解除非特别指明,上述实施例不受说明书中任何细节的限制,而应该在所附权利要求中定义的精神和范围内广义地理解,因此落入权利要求界限和范围及其等同物内的所有变化和修改都应被所附权利要求所涵盖。
Claims (10)
1.一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,其根据用户偏好信息动态地提供用户自适应的提要流,包括:
按多媒体流的类别搜索具有用户偏好/非偏好级别的用户偏好信息;及
使用搜索的用户偏好信息和多媒体流的基于内容的数据,根据用户偏好信息将关于多媒体流的多级别提要流信息重建为多级别提要流信息。
2.根据权利要求1的方法,其中基于内容的数据是一种诸如是角色,导演,制片公司,视听对象的出现/状态,事件的发生,段特征,视听背景等信息和段信息的组合描述。
3.根据权利要求1的方法,其中用户偏好信息是从用户访问多媒体内容的方式得知的。
4.根据权利要求1或3的方法,其中用户偏好信息可以由用户的数据编辑产生。
5.根据权利要求1的方法,其中多级别提要流信息被形成为包含多媒体流的段的重要性级别和段信息的多级别提要段信息方案。
6.根据权利要求1的方法,其中用户偏好信息被存储在外部便携式非易失存储单元中,例如智能卡,预定服务器的非易失存储单元,客户机装置的非易失存储单元。
7.一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,包括以下各步骤:
鉴别用户的提要流请求,读出请求提要流的用户的用户偏好信息;
根据所读取的用户偏好信息重调整关于多级别提要流的信息的提要段的重要性级别;以及
使用提要段的重调整的级别提供用户所请求长度的提要流。
8.根据权利要求7的方法,其中,在重调整步骤中,通过比较提要段的基于内容的数据和用户偏好信息,在其基于内容的数据与用户偏好信息一致的提要段中,提高用户所偏好的提要段的重要性级别,降低用户所非偏好的提要段的重要性级别。
9.根据权利要求7的方法,其中,在重调整步骤中,通过向所偏好类别的用户偏好级别增加预定加权值来重调整重要性级别。
10.一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,包括以下各步骤:
设置多媒体流的用户偏好类别的偏好/非偏好级别;
输入多媒体流的基于内容的数据;
根据偏好/非偏好级别和多媒体流的基于内容的数据产生关于多媒体流的多级别提要流信息。
