本发明涉及用于提供多媒体流的方法,具体涉及用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流(要点)的方法,其能够提供反映用户偏好/非偏好的多媒体提要流。
近来,随着数字视频技术和图象或视频识别技术的发展,用户可以通过搜索或浏览整个流的特定段来容易地使用希望的信息。换句话说,通过再现视频流和容易地仅仅浏览视频流的希望部分或索引视频流的提要,用户已经能够有效地理解预定视频流的内容而无需察看整个视频流。
为此目的,已经进行了一种处理多媒体流的研究,以便在用户要求希望的多媒体流时描述具有整个多媒体流或多媒体流的段的基于内容的数据和搜索该基于内容的数据。基于内容的数据包括:关于节目的全部内容的信息,例如关于制片公司、导演、演员表的信息;和关于多媒体流中每个段的语义信息,例如关于整个多媒体流中对象或背景的出现/消失、事件的发生、和对象与事件之间的关系的信息。

因此,在根据本发明的用于提供多媒体流的方法中,例如,根据用户的各自偏好信息(其中用户A喜欢新闻和情景喜剧但不喜欢体育,用户B喜欢新闻和体育但不喜欢情景喜剧),可以推荐适当的节目并提供给每个用户。对于所推荐或提供的节目,通过有效地搜索或浏览该节目的提要流,可以向用户提供反映其偏好的多级别提要流。
此外,在根据本发明的用于提供多媒体的方法中,由于用户可以编辑通过从使用用户所用的多媒体流的信息(或历史信息)的先前学习产生的上述用户偏好信息和用户非偏好信息,因此可以向用户提供反映其偏好和非偏好并具有希望长度的多级别提要流,而无需输入额外的查询条件。
由于在不偏离本发明精神或本质特征的条件下可以以多种形式实现本发明,还应理解除非特别指明,上述实施例不受说明书中任何细节的限制,而应该在所附权利要求中定义的精神和范围内广义地理解,因此落入权利要求界限和范围及其等同物内的所有变化和修改都应被所附权利要求所涵盖。

Claims (10)

1.一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,其根据用户偏好信息动态地提供用户自适应的提要流,包括:
按多媒体流的类别搜索具有用户偏好/非偏好级别的用户偏好信息;及
使用搜索的用户偏好信息和多媒体流的基于内容的数据,根据用户偏好信息将关于多媒体流的多级别提要流信息重建为多级别提要流信息。
2.根据权利要求1的方法,其中基于内容的数据是一种诸如是角色,导演,制片公司,视听对象的出现/状态,事件的发生,段特征,视听背景等信息和段信息的组合描述。
3.根据权利要求1的方法,其中用户偏好信息是从用户访问多媒体内容的方式得知的。
4.根据权利要求1或3的方法,其中用户偏好信息可以由用户的数据编辑产生。
5.根据权利要求1的方法,其中多级别提要流信息被形成为包含多媒体流的段的重要性级别和段信息的多级别提要段信息方案。
6.根据权利要求1的方法,其中用户偏好信息被存储在外部便携式非易失存储单元中,例如智能卡,预定服务器的非易失存储单元,客户机装置的非易失存储单元。
7.一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,包括以下各步骤:
鉴别用户的提要流请求,读出请求提要流的用户的用户偏好信息;
根据所读取的用户偏好信息重调整关于多级别提要流的信息的提要段的重要性级别;以及
使用提要段的重调整的级别提供用户所请求长度的提要流。
8.根据权利要求7的方法,其中,在重调整步骤中,通过比较提要段的基于内容的数据和用户偏好信息,在其基于内容的数据与用户偏好信息一致的提要段中,提高用户所偏好的提要段的重要性级别,降低用户所非偏好的提要段的重要性级别。
9.根据权利要求7的方法,其中,在重调整步骤中,通过向所偏好类别的用户偏好级别增加预定加权值来重调整重要性级别。
10.一种用于提供用户自适应的多级别提要流的方法,包括以下各步骤:
设置多媒体流的用户偏好类别的偏好/非偏好级别;
输入多媒体流的基于内容的数据;
根据偏好/非偏好级别和多媒体流的基于内容的数据产生关于多媒体流的多级别提要流信息。
