Abstract

光盘
本发明涉及一种包括提供可读信息的合成树脂衬底、防潮层和第二合成树脂层的光盘,所述防潮层位于该合成树脂衬底和第二合成树脂层之间。
这种光盘本身是已知的,具体地,例如从美国专利说明书5,490,131和6,051,298已知。压缩盘(下文中称为CD)和数字视频盘(下文中称为DVD)可被看作是通常光信息介质的光盘的实例。商业上可得到的光盘包括被依次提供信息被存储其中的孔的合成树脂衬底,覆盖圆盘衬底的这些孔的反射膜,和形成在该反射膜上的保护膜,该反射膜可被看作是防潮层。更为具体地,CD实际上由覆盖圆盘约1.2mm厚的衬底中的孔的约0.05微米厚的反射膜组成,提供在反射膜上的保护膜厚度约10微米。用于双面信息系统的DVD包括其中以坑的形式存储信息的盘形衬底,这些坑由反射膜覆盖,在一定的实施例中在该反射膜上提供一保护膜。这种DVD例如可通过在相互的顶部布置两个所述圆盘获得,所述两个圆盘借助粘合层在保护膜的一侧上结合在一起。在DVD的另一实施例中,有一个信息和反射层。
制造光盘的方法本身是已知的,并采用一定的工艺,诸如压缩、注入、光致聚合等等,盘形彻底通常由聚碳酸酯制成。覆盖盘形衬底中的孔的防潮层借助例如真空蒸发或溅射获得,并通常由铝制成。用作保护膜的第二合成树脂层以一层的形式施加到铝防潮层,以便保护该薄铝膜免于可由通常物理接触产生的损坏,并防止反射膜的氧化。该保护层通常借助其中树脂材料通过旋转运动施加的旋涂工艺提供。这种光盘通常用于环境湿度易于变化的环境中。于是,存在于大气中的水蒸气或湿气将能渗入比较干的合成树脂衬底,并作为周围空气中湿度的波动的结果,水蒸气或湿气从所述衬底扩散直到达到平衡状态。作为存在防潮层的结果,湿气从保护膜侧到合成树脂衬底的渗入几乎不会发生。代之以湿气可仅从衬底的另一侧渗入衬底或从衬底脱附,即光入射的衬底侧,如果讨论中的光盘是CD型光盘的话。在第二合成树脂层是光的入射侧的DVR型光盘的情况下,上面提到的情况将正好相反。湿气的吸附或脱附导致水浓度的不同,由此导致导致所述衬底翘曲的衬底的体积变化的不同。在光盘包括合成树脂衬底的实施例中,于是以曲率角提供的衬底相对于入射光线的光轴基本上倾斜定位。结果,光线将不沿凹槽的中心传播,即使伺服系统在运行中光线也不沿凹槽的中心传播,导致信号质量的下降。此外,在衬底进一步翘曲的情况下,伺服系统变得不适配,由此使圆盘暂时不能使用。于是,易产生超过对径向角要求的翘曲的光盘暂时不可读。
本发明的目的在于提供一种在湿气影响下不呈现或几乎不呈现翘曲的光盘。
如在开始段中所提到的,按照本发明,本发明的特征在于光盘中防潮层的位置是这样确定的,使得适用下述通用公式:
0.16<θ<0.33
其中:
应注意,在开始段中使用的术语“防潮层”不只包括单层,还包括这种层例如金属,ZnS-SiO2,相变材料和ZnS-SiO2的所谓的叠层或层组。在开始段中,这种叠层或层组被看作是防潮层。此外,在一定的实施例中,光盘可能包括由所谓的隔层彼此分开的两个可读信息层。应清楚,这样的一个实施例属于本发明的保护范围,其中这两个信息层被看作是复合信息层。
本发明人已检查光盘对于由水分含量变化导致的翘曲的敏感性,并意外地发现,如果一光盘符合上述通用公式,通过正确选择光盘中防潮层的位置可将光盘的曲率角减到最小。
特别优选,光盘中防潮层的位置这样选择,使得满足下述通用公式:
θ≈0.2
通过适当选择θ值,获得其中正力矩和负力矩分别通过衬底和第二合成树脂层基本上彼此补偿的光盘。
在附图1中,示出作为参数θ的函数的绝对最大集中力矩(CM)(concentration moment)。在附图2中,示出在值θ=0.2时,作为时间函数的集中力矩。图2示出在约θ=0.2处,正和负集中力矩基本上彼此抵消,并且最大值和最小值绝对值基本上相等。
特别优选,如在开始段中提到的,该光盘的特征在于从在不同的湿气水平测量的与时间有关的翘曲获得的最大翘曲和最小翘曲的绝对值满足下述公式:

比较实例1
检查湿气对一种商业上可得到的压缩盘的影响,该压缩盘包括在一侧上提供信息层的1.2mm厚的聚碳酸酯衬底,0.05微米厚的铝反射层,和用作第二合成树脂层的约10微米厚的树脂层。在具有特定的相对湿度的空间中存储一段时间后,这样选择该时间段使得光盘中的空气湿度的程度达到平衡浓度,该盘随后被转移到具有不同相对湿度的空间,导致该盘翘曲,其后作为时间的函数测量最大翘曲。与时间有关的最大曲率角为0.29°。θ值约为0.008。
比较实例2
一种DVR型光盘在与比较实例1中所述条件相同条件下经受湿气,该光盘包括提供有信息层的约1.1mm厚的聚碳酸酯衬底,该信息层被覆以0.05微米厚的反射层,它又提供一0.1mm厚的聚碳酸酯第二合成树脂层。在相对湿度步骤后,DVR型光盘显示约0.15°的翘曲。θ值约为0.083。
实例1
制造一种如在比较实例2中所用的DVR型光盘,除第二合成树脂层的厚度从0.1mm变到0.25mm以外。该盘在与比较实例2所述条件相同的条件下经受湿气,在相对湿度步骤后所测量的与时间有关的最大翘曲约0°。θ值约为0.185。
实例2
制造一种如在比较实例2中所用的DVR型光盘,只除聚碳酸酯衬底的常用厚度从1.1mm变到0.4mm的衬底厚度。该DVR盘在与比较实例2所述条件相同的条件下经受变化的湿度程度,与时间有关的翘曲测量的结果显示基本上没有出现翘曲。θ值约为0.20。

Claims (4)

1.一种光盘,包括提供有可读信息的合成树脂衬底、防潮层和第二合成树脂层,所述防潮层位于该合成树脂衬底和该第二合成树脂层之间,其特征在于,光盘中防潮层的位置是这样的,使得适合下述通用公式:
0.16<θ<0.33
其中:
